Kat was sleeping in as her classes start late today and Mia already texted Scar saying she's near college with Talia. Others yelled. “Get a room, you sick fucks!” “Whore!” “Someone stop them!” A woman screamed at us to stop. A man laughed and called me a slút. Phones flashed. Someone threw an empty water bottle that bounced off the railing near my feet. Xander growled against my mouth. “Hear that? I scream at him as I wipe my tears. "Little flower, we are not ashamed of you. You just took our reaction wrong" Xander says in a voice that is deeper than normal. I squint through the last of my blurry vision and realize that his golden human eyes aren't apparent. His eyes are now slitted and the color runs like a golden river. I find them confusing but it doesn't stop my tirade. "I took nothing wrong. I felt how your body stiffened when he wanted to know where I was from. I saw the panicked look on your face when you couldn't answer." I yell as I step closer.

Too bad I was in much of a shock myself to laugh at her loss. "You speak of the council My Lady, is this council not made of well capable...vampires?" Xander said with a truly evil glint in his eye. Okay...evil Xander was really hot. I had to squeeze my legs together to ignore the spark that had shot down to my nether regions. "Yes...but..." she started but Xander cut her off

Voice so familiar drawl. My eyes pry open, slowly. The harsh light is gone; the curtains are drawn, leaving the room dim. And then standing before me is Xaden. He’s wearing nothing but low-hanging pants, his bare chest on display, muscles flexing with every subtle movement. For a split second, my mind betrays me... He almost looks like Damon. Big ugly sobs wrack my body . “This can’t be fucking happening again.” I cry as I throw my phone across the room, angry and sad at the injustice of it all. Xander I stand under the hot spray until I feel all the tension and exhaustion of the last few days slowing drain out of me. I wrap a towel around my waist and grab another to dry my hair. I dip my head and vigorously rub my wet hair as I enter the room. I drop the towel I’m using to dry my hair onto the bed and nearly fall over myself when I realise I am not alone.
