Lilith POV A pair of cold, bloodshot eyes stare back at me; if eyes could , I'm sure I would be dead by now. "Argh!"  I was pulled by my hair and flung to the wall barely. I felt a liquid running down my head down to my nose—it's blood!

I prayed earnestly not to stumble upon my mate because I never wanted him to see the mate mark on my neck. A mate's mark is something to wore with pride but I hated mine.
