He looked up at her, his eyes steady, sincere, filled with everything they had survived.

The music swelled.
“But here we are,” he continued. “Still standing. Still choosing each other.”
James reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring—simple, elegant, meaningful.
“I’m asking you again,” he said. “Not because I forgot the first time… but because love deserves to be chosen every day.”
Tears streamed down Sarah’s face.
