Chapter 15 Lena’s POV The text from Mom burned on my phone screen like a warning light. Flight switched. Coming home tomorrow afternoon instead. Can’t wait to see you all! My handwriting looked almost foreign to me, as if someone else had written it. My pulse refused to slow down. I transferred the photos from my phone to my laptop and encrypted them under a hidden folder labeled “Recipes.” It was almost poetic. No one ever looked there.

I said finally, as Joseph packed up his wedding notebooks back into the filing shelves. “Actually, there was another reason I wanted to talk to you here today.” joseph said slowly, glancing behind us like he was worried someone else might have wandered into the shop despite the Closed sign posted on the back of the door. “What is it?” “Follow me,” he said, waving me on. I remembered the route taking us to the secret office space behind the shop, where we had met before with Caleb as well. When Joseph sat down and logged into his computer, the several monitor screens all exploded into light, revealing a series of documents and images with CLASSIFIED watermarks printed across them.

"Secret pieces?" Serena wondered what secret piece. An assistant-looking man stepped forward, holding up a piece and placing it in front of her. Serena could tell at a glance that it was an Infinity Realm piece, probably because she'd left in a hurry this morning and brought Matthew's piece with her. I can't believe she didn't notice it until now. This piece seems to be quite important because it has a seal on it and the word top secret is written on the seal, so I guess it is a piece related to the business competition.
