Brianna mutters, mortified. “It’s fine.” Brianna walks off embarrassed. Nate spends a bit of time talking to you, making sure you're doing okay. The party is coming to an end; you slip out undetected to meet the new anonymous texter. You arrive in the forest, it’s dark, eerie and you’re alone, it’s like the start of every horror movie. Suddenly you hear a crunch behind you, like a twig snapping, you stand deathly still. “H-Hello?” you call out, slightly scared. A shadow appears under the moonlight, between the trees.

“Under this full moon, may loyalty and fortune accompany Alpha Lennon and Luna Estelle. May they lead with wisdom, and may this night mark the beginning of a blessed journey.” Cheers erupted again, accompanied by swelling music. Everyone silently echoed Sigmund’s prayer while Estelle stood still. For her, the night felt like walking between two worlds: one filled with light and the other dim within herself. She looked at the sky one last time. The golden ring around the moon pulsed faintly, like the heartbeat of a giant holding a secret. Estelle exhaled deeply, as if trying to release the unease lodged in her chest. Then, she gave a faint smile.

She gazed into the water while chanting loudly. “Moonlight, reveal to me secrets hidden, and truths to see. By the power of the moon’s pale glow, lift the veil, let truth flow. Above, the sky darkened further, the blood moon appearing suddenly, impossibly large and close, its crimson light bathing everything in shades of rust and wine.

"I choose to accept my destiny," Luna declared, her voice ringing clear in the silver moonlight. "Not for revenge, not even for love, but because I've seen what happens when pain goes unhealed. I choose to be the bridge, the healer, the Silver Moon Luna." The moment the words left her lips, the silver moon above seemed to pulse. A beam of pure moonlight descended, enveloping Luna in its radiance. Her body lifted gently off the ground, and everyone watched in awe as she transformed.

Derek asked from his spot on the wall. "Yes, but fighting off wolfsbane took a lot of energy. The full moon is tomorrow night, and I can feel the Darkness growing. I need to be strong enough to hold it back." Roza replied tightening her hold on me yet again. I could feel her anxiety increase as she mentioned her Darkness. I know she didn't like talking about it with me, but I really needed to do a better job at asking her when it's getting too much for her to handle.

The room erupted in murmurs, the elders voices overlapping in disbelief and outrage. I let them speak, let their fear spill out, before I slammed my hand against the armrest of my throne. The sound silenced them instantly.

The moonlight seemed to shine brighter than earlier, illuminating the connection that bound us together, a silent understanding passing between us as we looked into each other's eyes. It was beautiful. She was beautiful. But I wanted more. I wanted to kiss her and touch her. And I wanted to do it in human form.
