You and Sam have been at the beach resort for a week so far, all Sam has done is drink.
"We may as well have gone to a frat party." You remarked sadly. Sam looks up at you laughing "Quit whinging, it's summer." "Whatever, I'm gonna hit the beach." You snap at him. You head down to the beach, finding a place to sit, you stare out to the ocean. 'this is peaceful.' You hear someone approach you. "Sam not with you?" The voice chuckles. "Zack! What are you doing here?" You stare at Zack in shock. "Sam invited me." He explained. "It's good to see you." You wrap him tightly in a hug. "Sam is drinking." Your tone sad. "Why?" Zack gasps. "Did you not hear what happened to Nate's dad?" You asked him. "No." Zack looks at you, his expression somewhat confused. "He killed Nate's dad." Your voice a whisper so no one else at the beach can hear you. Zack stares at you in horror. "Now he's acting like nothing happened and Nate won't talk to me." You sigh. "I'll try talking some sense into Sam." Zack gave you a reassuring smile, you lead him to Sam. You head to the beach house with Zack but Sam isn't there. "He's not here!" You worry about where he could have gone. "Any idea where we will find him?" Zack asks. "We could try the local bar, gimme five I'm gonna change and we can head over there." You disappear for a few minutes changing out of your swimsuit and into your usual ripped jeans and flannel shirt, when you return Zack is pacing the Livingroom. "Why are you pacing?" You ask Zack. "I'm just worried abut Sam I've never seen him like this." He explains. You and Zack head to the local bar to see if Sam is actually there. You spot some messy brown hair and a face smushed into the table. "Sam?" You call out sadly. "Olivia, Zack!" Sam bolts upright and beams at you. "What are you doing man?" Zack gives Sam a disappointed look. "What do you mean?" Sam questions. "Bro, you're wasted in the middle of the day." Zack explains calmly. "Nah, I bumped into a friend from school, she will be back in a minute." Sam smiles in the direction his friend went. As you take a seat opposite Sam, Madison walks out, smirking. "What are you doing here?" You gasp at Madison. "It's the biggest teen trip spot, I came with Taylor and Brianna, but I ditched them for Sam." She smiles "Dude what about Tara?" Zack snaps at Sam. You all head back to the beach house, Sam and Madison decide to head to the beach to continue to hang out. "Zack maybe we should talk alone for a moment." You pull Sam into the beach house. "Tara and Sam broke up when Tara left for college, she moved to a whole other state." You explain to Zack. "Oh, I thought they were end game." Zack replied shocked. "No, ever since Sam killed Nate's dad, he's been different, like he's better than everyone else." You remark. "What do you mean?" Zack asks, confused. "I've already said too much, I wouldn't want Taylor finding out." You reply sassily. "That was once and I'm sorry again." Zack replies, his voice filled with guilt. "How am I meant to trust you again?" You ask him. "Let me prove it." Zack smiles, he grabs your arm and you head back to Sam. Before you can continue the conversation Taylor and Brianna appear. "What's the freak doing here?" Taylor smirks. "Taylor be nice, her friends just moved away." Madison scolded Taylor. You stand there shocked at Madison dismissing Taylors comment as opposed to joining in with the bullying. "When did you care about the freak?" Brianna nods in your direction. "When I started dating Sam." Madison remarked, her tone harsher than before. "Woah, woah when did this happen?" You ask stunned. "We've been mmeeting up here for the past few days, it happened yesterday." Madison explains. "Oh, well I'm glad Sam has someone." You smile at Madison. "Look I wanted to apologise for School, I'm trying to be a better person going forward." Madison smiles at you shyly. "sure thanks Madison." You smile back at her. "Maybe we could double date." Madison bounced on the spot. "That would require me to have a date." You laugh. "I thought you were dating Nate, where is he?" Madison asks. "Oh, no we were never dating." You clear up the misunderstanding. "Oh, I thought...never mind, maybe another time." Madison smiles. "Sure." You respond. "I'm gonna hit the clubs, you want to come?" She beams at you. "I'm okay, maybe another time. I should be getting home." Madison nods in response and you head back inside the beach house. Zack spends the next few days with you at the beach house, Sam hasn't been back for three days. "I hope Sam is okay." You remark sadly. "I'm sure he's fine, when do you guys leave?" Zack asks. "Tomorrow, it's been a crappy summer if I'm honest." You smile. "Summer isn't over yet, there's plenty of time to make memories." Zack gives you a hopeful smile. You nod in reply, he looks at you, his eyes filled with sympathy "How's your mom, last I heard she was ill." "She was fine when we left her." You reply smiling. Sam comes stumbling back in. "Sup, losers?" His speech is slurred and he's stumbling everywhere. "you're drunk." You remark, clearly not impressed by Sam's behaviour. "So?" Sam snaps. "I'm worried about you." You explained. "Why, because you have no friends to get drunk with?" Sam smirks. "I'm tired of you treating me like a child." You yell, you're tired of his crap. "Then stop acting like such a brat!" Sam's words pierce your heart. "Sam, I lost my best friend because of you!" Your voice breaks a little at the thought of Nate not speaking to you anymore. "You lost Nate because he's a jerk, he only cares about himself!" Sam screams at you. "Maybe you should look in the mirror!" You hiss at him. "I told mom this was a bad idea." Sam muttered. You feel tears building. "If it was such a bad idea why can't I stay with mom?" You sob. "She's working overtime, she wants me to take you to college." Sam explained. "If it makes you feel any better Zack can stay too." He added. "Sure, fine." You snapped. "That works for me, I'll take Olivia to college since we are attending the same one." Zack smiles. The rest of the day passes, the next day you head for your flight home. You've been back at campus two weeks; Blake's been avoiding you which is super odd since you were close before the holidays. “Is it just me or has Blake been acting strange?” Oscar asked. “I've noticed that too.” You replied, a little concerned. “Weren't you two close before the break?” Nate questioned. “I thought we were, he hasn't spoken to me since we came back.” You sighed, sadly. “So go talk to him, find out what's going on.” Tara encourages you to talk to him. Before you can reply, Zack interrupts. “Don't bother, I can assure you he won't talk, I've tried talking to him, I got nowhere.” “But this is Olivia that will be speaking to him, maybe she will get somewhere.” Tara explained. “I'll text him, see if he wants to go for a coffee, we can talk then.” You remarked. “Good idea.” Tara replied. He reads it but doesn't reply. “I think he's mad at me, he's read it but not replied.” You explained. “It's fine, let him sulk, try to catch him after our practice.” Nate smiled.
You've arrived at Nate's for the holidays; his mom greets you. “Are you two looking forward to the holidays?” she hugs you as you enter the house. “Sort of, it's my first one alone” You sigh a little, remembering Sam and your mom aren’t here for the holidays. “I'm sorry Hunnie, I'll make it as fun as possible.” She hugs you. “Thankyou.” You give her a soft smile. “Why don't you two head upstairs and unpack, I'll work on dinner.” She nodded in the direction of the stairs. You and Nate head upstairs. “So, our first Christmas together as a couple.” Nate beams at you. “You don't have to make small talk, to try and make me feel better.” You smile, softly. “I know but I also know it's hard for you right now.” Nate sighed sadly. “As long as we have each other I'll be okay.” You reassured him. “I wanted to give you a gift early, to lighten the mood a little.” He smiled at you. “Oh erm, I brought yours, do you want one now?” You blush a little, showing him the nicely wrapped gift
You're back in the frat; you find Nate for the long-awaited conversation. “Can we talk? "You asked Nate. “Sure.” He smiled; you grab Nate's hand and pull him out of earshot of the group. “I was wondering if you wanted to get back together, like end the break?” You blurted quickly. “I've been waiting weeks for that question, yes!” He beamed. “I’m glad that’s settled.” You smile sweetly. “Did you manage to figure everything out?” Nate asked, curious. “I'm pretty sure I did, I realised I'm happiest with you.” You smiled at him again. “And I’m happiest when I’m with you.” Nate wraps you in a hug. “Taylor told me about the pool party.” You remarked. “My mom organised it.” Nate replied, sadly. “And she didn’t invite me?” You stare at him in shock. “She doesn’t like you.” Nate replied, quickly. “Oh.” You feel a bit of sadness wash over you. “I'm sure you can find a way to make her love you almost as much as I love you.” Nate smiled, reassuring you. Nate pulls you close, it fee
You arrive back at campus; you rush to the football field to find Nate. He looks worried. Nate spots you and gives you a sweet smile, you wave to him, you head for a seat and watch the rest of practice. He jogs over to you after practice is over, he wraps you in a hug. “I was so worried, what happened, tell me everything.” He looked at you panicked. “Let’s go back to Beta and I’ll tell you.” You remarked. Nate follows you back, he quickly changes and places himself next to you on the bed. “Who's behind the messages?” Nate asked, eagerly. “Ella.” You remarked. “What?” Nate stares at you. “Taylor was blackmailing her.” You continued. “Oh, and has Ella apologised?” Nate asked. “Yeah, it's all good, I'm gonna kill Taylor though.” You added, just at the mention of Taylor's name your blood boils. “So, the messages should stop now?” Nate asked, concerned. “I hope so.” You remarked. “Maybe everything can finally go the way we want it to.” Nate moves closer to you, love fills his ey
You were hanging out with Nate in his room in the Beta house, you had the last two weeks to think about everything and heal a little from the death of your mom and Sam. “How's things been?” Nate asked, carefully, rubbing the bottom of your back. “Okay, if I’m being honest.” You smiled, reassuringly. “Did you figure things out about us yet?” Nate asked, sheepishly. “Not quite, I will soon, it's been a lot to process.” You smile softly at him. “I understand.” Nate replied, a little hint of sadness in his voice. You head into the Livingroom to be greeted by Blake and Oscar; Blake wraps you in a hug. “My favourite person, how’s things?” Blake beamed at you. “They’re good.” You laughed at Blake. Nate is staring daggers at Blake. Blake hasn't noticed, you pull away and sit on the sofa. “So, Oscar, where’s Tara?” You grin at him. “She’s just getting ready.” Oscar blushes a little. “Are you two dating?” You asked. “Yes.” He blushed harder. Tara comes skipping into the Livingroo
It's been two weeks since Sam's death and you and Nate going on a break, you're hanging out with Blake, Zack and Oscar. "So you want to throw a party?" Blake asked, grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Yup." You laughed. "And that's why you need us?" Blake questioned. "I need the best party throwers in the house." You smiled, buttering Blake up. "Always, well since you asked so nicely, how can i say no?" Blake smiled at you. "Okay, well, erm, can you get the beer, please?" You asked, sweetly. "Has princess not got ID?" Blake mocks you. "No, you have to be 21, douchebag." You laughed in response. "I'm not 21." Blake replied. "You could pass for it." You smirked. "Really? What are you saying?" Blake gave you a skeptical look. "Calm your ego, I'm saying you look old." You laughed, mocking him. Zack and Oscar laugh, you notice Nate is stood there. "You good man?" Blake turned to Nate and asked. "Yeah, i was hoping we could talk Olivia?" Nate smiled at you. "I'm a little busy bu
