"Ah, *The Library Dragon*. Yes. It's a favorite." Julian nodded once, his gaze not quite reaching hers. He wasn't accustomed to small talk. Not accustomed to this softness. And certainly not accustomed to *lingering*. She waved her hand gently. "It's in the children's section—over here." He followed her through the store, his steps light behind her. The shelves loomed above them like old friends. Motes of dust danced in bars of slanting light from high windows. Lena felt the rise and fall of his breathing behind her—too close, too quiet—but said nothing.

The scent of old books and wood filled the air. I often forgot how big the collection here was, since I usually opted to use the library at the pack headquarters whenever I needed anything. But this library boasted thousands of books of various genres, while the headquarters library—where Gertrude worked—consisted mostly of pack documents and rare texts that required specific archival conditions. Thea immediately broke away from us, making a beeline for the colorful children’s section tucked into a corner of the first floor. Elijah placed his hand on the small of my back, guiding me toward the stairs. “The history section is on the third floor,” he said quietly.

An attendee joined me to take me to the old library where the books were supposed to be kept. He opened the door for me and I stepped inside. My sight noticed a huge library with uncountable books. The misty and dusty smell entered my nostrils and I raked my eyes with a quick glimpse over all the sections. "The books are on that section, Luna," The attendee's finger pointed towards a section in the corner and I nodded. "You can leave," He nodded and left me closing the door behind me. I walked towards that section and scanned the titles of the book. Drowning deep into my memories I tried to recall the books that my Grandmother used to read when she was alive.

Well, she seems to forget that in case I get killed in my sleep, we both die. I strolled to each section of the library but there is a particular section that seem different. The books are few as I glance around. Few shelves with neatly packed books, mostly with animal pictures as I stared but my eyes didn't fail to notice the paintings hanging on the wall. They seem to come alive with the way they stared back, threatening to tear me apart at any sign of aggression.

She taught them about coming up to the counter to ask for help from the librarian any time. While she gave her age-appropriate lecture, I looked up and examined the rest of the space. The children’s section was contained in a small alcove, which was hemmed in by walls on the lower level and railings on the second floor. From what I could glean from looking up, the upper floor near the children’s section seemed to be an area for teenagers. I saw rows of comic books, young adult novels, and reference books, along with posters advertising free tutoring and the rules for maker’s spaces and the like.

~KADE~ We walked into the library and I heard Damian gasp behind me. “I have never seen such a huge library before” He murmured as he glanced around in awe. “It’s a supernatural library,of course you haven't seen anything like it” I murmured. “We don't have time to waste. I'll be over at the cursed section. You both go to the section that has to do with wolves and hybrids” Axel ordered before walking away leaving Damian and I together.
