Novel & Cerita Sedition Hunters

Hello faithful readers. How do you do? I have been incognito for a while due to some hardware issues with my computer but I have found a way around that thanks to God. I am sorry for letting you all down and hope that wouldn't happen again. Now that I have that out of the way, there is an announcement to make. I am here to inform you that Book 1 of Hunters: The Prequel - Hunter Hunted - is over. And Book 2 begins today!

Betty looks at me as I pale. “How did you all know to come get me?” I ask. “Is Sedit a werewolf? Sophie?” Betty holds my arm. “No, Sedit Zenith is not a werewolf. He and his family are Hunters. Good Hunters kill bad werewolves. But the Zeniths are from a group called Dragons of Thunder. They are cruel. They kill for fun. You and Sophie would have never been safe there.” I fall on my butt, unable to stand.

The hunters knew that they were getting close. They crept forward, their weapons at the ready, until they caught sight of Tate standing in a clearing, his massive form silhouetted against the moonlit sky. Without hesitation, the hunters opened fire, their silver bullets ripping through the air and striking Tate with deadly force. Tate came to realize at that moment that he had been on a bad path for so long and barely escaped from the hunters. He went back home to his brother, and Marcus gladly allowed him take back his place knowing that he really had changed.

AVA Without another word, Hunter moves swiftly away from the lockers, passing by his two friends whose names I'm guessing are Preston and Gomorey. They had been gawking at Hunter with a mischievous grin playing on their lips, and Hunter didn't waste a chance to shoot them both with his penetrating glare. I noticed their pupils retrench as they stared at him, meaning they were conversing with each other through mindlink. It was brief, lasting a couple of seconds before Hunter turns left and straight down the now-empty halls.

The air became less oppressive. “You’re going to get yourself killed,” he said, his voice low. “You keep trying his patience; I can’t keep covering for you. He’s already tired of your games, but you keep pushing. When you ran instead of mating him, he sent a hunting party to come after you. Hunters, Dani. If I hadn’t lied and begged, you would be dead.” The word chilled her. Hunters weren’t ordinary warriors; they were executioners, loyal only to the Alpha King. The best warriors from every pack under Ethan’s rule, moulded into his machines. They had no conscience, just like Ethan.

No clicking guns or sharp, threatening stares. Instead, the space was filled with people. Workers. Their movements were deliberate, precise, almost mechanical. They barely looked at her as she passed, though Wren felt the weight of their stolen glances, eyes flitting toward her like ghosts before vanishing again. The air was thick, suffocating in its silence, broken only by the occasional shuffle of footsteps or the dull scrape of something being moved.

I try to blindly claw at the slimy ground or grab for anything within reach in a vain attempt to stop myself from uncontrollably careening down the slope.
