The kind that weren't funny at all but he laughed at them so completely that you ended up laughing too." He paused. "He said laughter was the only honest currency. “Besides, my initial plan was to have you meet them at Thanksgiving.” My eyes widened and nearly bulged out at the revelation. “You’re joking, right?” He gave me a look that had me retracting my words. "Right, I forgot your sense of humor is broken so you don't know how to joke," I said. “My sense of humor is intact, little nurse.
