I immediately burst into a small laughter. “What's funny?” He asked, genuinely confused. “Your face is funny.” His gaze became even more puzzling and I was tempted to laugh even louder. “You're hungry,” He muttered matter-of-factly, like I didn't already know I was. “And somehow that is funny?” He didn't get it. He was really lacking in the emotional world. “No, your face is funny.” He still shot me a skeptical look and I knew I had to give it up. There was no use explaining the ways of human emotion to him. He was so conservative, he only understood the literal interpretation of things.

“Damon.” He raised his hands, laughing. “Alright, alright. But seriously, boss — she’s good for you. I’ve known you for years, and I’ve never seen you look… lighter.” I frowned. “Lighter?” “Yeah. You used to move through life like you were constantly calculating your next step. Now, you pause. You text. It didn't necessarily have to be based on height, beards and body stature, but as long as one improved in knowledge and had the better understanding of what the world considered for him, then he was good to go. I wish his humour was humorous enough, but they lacked the contents which made it really less of what he wanted it to be.

I rolled my eyes and smiled. “Remember when I asked you for your opinion? Me neither” I said, as I smiled sweetly at him and walked off to the other side of the room. All the guys started to roll on the ground laughing. I have to say they sounded worse than a hyena. “I hear that there is a new app called sense of humor. D******d it bitch!” Danny snapped. I rolled my eyes. “You know Danny; acting like a dick would not make yours any bigger.” I pointed out.

For instance, I find you very humorous right now,” he said. “This is not funny!” I said, annoyed that he found me funny right now when there was no sign of joke in my voice but he gave me that smothering look of his that always had me weak in the knees and I almost lost my resolve.
