I smiled. He locked his lower lips. If there was one thing I've gotten to observe about my newfound friend, it was his ability to discern and understand humor. His sense of humor was top-notch, and I didn't say this because I called him a son of a bitch, and he did nothing. I hated the inner and unconscious comparison I was making between him and Peters. Peters wouldn't take your, “I need more touch, baby,” as a joke. "Mind following me home and getting to know my place of residence?"

It was good that we were on the same path, we never wanted any conversation that had to do with the both of us. “You are a good horse rider, I’m sure you’ll beat me in a race,” I replied. I could literally die if I fuck up more than I’ve been doing…but, I can’t tell him that. “I’m here, okay? Almost. Just that I do not laugh. Humor is not something I recognize even if it smacks me right in the face. I learnt early that I do not have a good sense of humor, as while I don’t have time for jokes, I used to laugh at the oddest hours, mostly when there is something as a serious as death on the line. That was weird. I know, and didn’t need anyone to tell me. So I stopped laughing all together. “It’s a ten minutes’ walk.”
