Arabella forced a smile and nodded. While the adults weren't looking, Serena finally succeeded in wrenching free from the man restraining her. She sprinted toward Sebastian's unlocked Ferrari. "Serena!" Sebastian shouted. But it was too late. She slid into the driver's seat and slammed the door shut. The engine roared to life. Before anyone could process what was happening, Serena gripped the wheel and pressed her foot down hard on the accelerator. The Ferrari shot forward. Straight toward Axel. "You fuckers!" Serena screamed. "I'm taking your precious one down with me!"

_Alaric's POV_ As we approached my car, I couldn't help but notice the awe in Alina's and Juliet's eyes. It was a sight to behold—a marvel of modern engineering that few ordinary people had the opportunity to encounter. They circled the shiny vehicle several times, examining each detail with curiosity. The design of the car was starkly different from the carriages they were familiar with; it was more enclosed and modern, giving off a futuristic feel that seemed to captivate them entirely.

I worked the back row, the cars Audrey had reached last, lifting covers and checking tags. The tenth car was a 1971 Alfa Romeo Montreal. Dark blue. The tag read: "bought because it's ridiculous. Keeping it because I'm right." I smiled despite myself. Marcus Warner had apparently been a man of strong opinions about Italian cars. The eleventh car was the Stratos. Already uncovered, her name still on the windscreen. I stood in front of it for a moment, looking at her name in her father's handwriting, and felt the complicated thing I'd been feeling all morning do another slow rotation in my chest.

She suddenly caught sight of Lisa nearby, so she told Lucas, "My friend is here. I'm getting off. Let me go." Lucas stared at Serenity with fiery eyes. The tension in the air was almost palpable. A moment later, Lucas loosened his grip. Serenity hurriedly opened the door and got out of the car. She shouted at her best friend who was looking around for her, "Lisa, over here!" Enzo chuckled. “Hate to break it to you, bro, but yeah you are.” Serenity scrunched up her nose and nodded. “Now come on, just follow my lead, I got this.” Pulling up in front of the shop door haphazardly, she popped a piece of gum in her mouth before hopping off the car. “Hey, is Matteo around?” Serenity called to a passing employee. “Uh, yeah, he’s in the back.” The man stared at her with wide eyes and his jaw hanging open a little when he saw the latest model Mercedes-Benz GLE she just climbed out of.

He’s ruthless, relentless, tearing through her defenses like they’re nothing more than paper. Seraphine’s lips tremble, but she stays silent. Creed’s claws dig deeper, and then his eyes start to glow, a deep, menacing gold that sends a chill through the room. This is the Alpha Sight of a hybrid; the Sight of the son of a Wolf God. After what feels like an eternity, Creed finally let go, pulling his claws free from her neck. Seraphine collapses to the floor, gasping for breath, her body trembling with the aftershocks of the Alpha Sight. She looks up at Creed, her eyes wide with terror.
