More Than Roommates
The water shuts off abruptly.
“Can you—” He stops himself. “Just answer it. Put it on speaker.”
That lands heavier than it should.
I pick the phone up.
“Hello?”
“Hi, is this Seth Carter?” A man’s voice, calm, professional. Not a student.
“Yes,” Seth says from the bathroom doorway, towel slung low around his hips, hair dripping. He doesn’t reach for the phone, just nods for me to keep holding it. “This is Seth.”
“Hey, Seth. This is Mark Reynolds. I’m calling from the Lakeshore Wolves organization.”
