Violets and Ash

Violets and Ash

So long as I took my daily cocktail of medication and went to my bi-weekly appointments there was no need for a grueling three sessions a week. ‘We’re not going to back out.’ I insisted, determined to ride out this euphoric high for as long as possible. My romance novel infected brain conjured one scenario after another. The shy, awkward main character starting her first day at an elite boarding school after a whirlwind make-over, always running from some elusive past I couldn’t wait to discover. She’d turn heads the moment she walked through the doors, beautiful while never realizing it. There was usually a fifty percent chance she’d catch the eye of the golden-haired jock or the asshole in

I had trouble putting this down. Probably my favourite so far. Love the way the characters evolve and the interchange between them. Definitely not lacking in lots of plot twists and turns. Just when you thought it was safe… well done, Jane. Can’t wait to read your next books!!
Author K.C Rae
Absolutely beautiful writing, it’s been about a year since I’ve read Jane Doe’s work and I simply cannot believe how much she’s improved (not that she was bad/mediocre before). The story itself kept you captivated with lots of twists and turns, the characters were likable and spice was 4/5 stars

The Alpha's Chosen One

The Alpha's Chosen One

It could easily have been a school or a boarding school. Nathan's scent was in that hallway, so he assumed there must be something hidden there, but all he saw was an office. She went in, closing the door behind her. That place was the best place she had ever seen in her whole life, full of books and a lot of handwriting. She picked up the first book she found, and it was one of her favorites, only this was a first edition. She sat down on the nearest sofa and swung her legs up. The story takes place in rural England in the early 19th century.

Mr. Darcy Jr.

Mr. Darcy Jr.

I replied. After a long preparation, Eliza finally arrived. The guys are more excited than me, I wonder what will happen next if Eliza will know how clumsy my friends are. While I walk Eliza in the stairs, Zelbert and Gerald is smiling waiting up, things got weirder and more awkward when they are getting near to each others. We designed the living room with a gloomy theme, played some classic music in the radio and flowers in every table, mostly red, I don't know what are the names of those flowers, I just bought them without naming. My dining table's shape is square, so the four of us sits in every side, I can't picture out Gerald's face, he's like going to laugh but he's holding it.

Somehow now I like living in a fantasy world I chose to sit on the balcony of my bedroom window, and leave my room lights not on, hey I drifted into the plot of the novel until I felt that right now I was the mate of an alpha. Hahaha this is why I can't get into a novel, I can easily imagine and make myself the main character

Captivated by Mr. Billionaire

Captivated by Mr. Billionaire

I spent most of my nights leading up to this day reading her books and picking out the most memorable scenes to recreate, in particular, the scenes where the pages in her book were the most smudged. I even knew what scene she was referring to. The couple had stripped out of their soak clothes and huddled naked together in an effort to stay warm as the night temperature continued to drop. It was the book's turning point, where they confessed their feelings for each other and became one for the first time. It was a classic trope, but based on the condition of those particular books, Jane seemed to like the clichés. But if that was what she dreamed of, then I had no trouble making her dreams co

Reborn As The Villainess Luna In My Favorite Series

I did not look back at the troughs as I cleared the steps. The script of the novel was completely gone. There were no neat acts or heroic chapters left, just a messy, suffocating reality where the villains and the victims were breathing the exact same black smoke. There was no grand confrontation waiting for us, just the long, dark walk up to the Great Hall through the grease and the ash, with the midnight deadline closing in like a trap.

A Second Life Inside My Novels

A Second Life Inside My Novels

She wrote until there wasn't a fairy tale lie she couldn't expose anymore. "The End," she wrote at the last page of her novel. Cathedra climbed atop her desk chair and hung a noose over the beams. She tied a knot firmly, making sure it was strong enough to fulfill its purpose. She slipped the knot over her head. She jumped and kicked the chair off. For a few minutes she struggled and fought for breath, the way humans were normally programmed to do. For a few minutes, she had enough time to reflect on her short-lived life.

The Devil's Bride

Sleeping on the same bed became a habit for her, at first it bothered her to the extant of waking up with muscle cramps every single morning during the first couple weeks, she would become tense and rigid every time he joined her to bed. ... "So what book are you going to choose ?"Asked a curious Ethan as they both stood in front of the non ending shelves while Rebecca already sat on her own rocker. "This one." she put her finger on an old looking book "Old bloodline." he read the title. "I see you like historical books, well there you go now i have to find a book to read too." he spoke as she took a seat on the crimson red armchair just next to the fireplace. Maids brought tea and pastries

Maid To Be

Maid To Be

I'll be right back" I responded. Going into the kitchen, I moved to the counter where I last placed my novel, hoping to retrieve it from there, but the book was nowhere in sight. My eyes roamed around, doing its examination, while I moved to and fro, looking to find the novel somewhere. I yelled out in frustration, when all of my search resulted in nothing. Where exactly have I been to? The novel ought to be here. I thought to myself, and only then did I remember. I was out cleaning Cameron's room earlier. That was the last place I visited. Hurrying out of the kitchen, I proceeded upstairs, making my way to just one point—Cameron's room. Second after second, my feet drew closer to its destin

Reborn As A Scrap Queen

Reborn As A Scrap Queen

Suddenly it reminded me of those two books, novels. With a new determination burning in my chest, I raced to the cozy corner of my room where the novel had lain untouched for so long. The pages held the key to the world I had once lived in, a world of intrigue, passion, and heartache. As I flipped through the worn pages, the story of Xicheng, the king, and my husband, unfolded before my eyes. My heart raced in tandem with the events that transpired on the pages. The romance that had bloomed between Xicheng and me, despite the complexities of court politics and our societal positions, was now vividly alive.
