Bound in shadows
Julian lay back in the armchair, his chest heaving in ragged, desperate gasps, his suit disheveled, his eyes heavy with dark, surrendered bliss.
Gabriel stood up slowly, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. He looked down at Julian with an expression of absolute, terrifying ownership.
"Get dressed, Vance," Gabriel murmured, reaching out to gently trace the wet line of Julian's lower lip with his thumb. "We have two more accounts to strip before midnight."
Julian looked up into Gabriel’s pale eyes, breathing heavily, feeling the heavy, permanent weight of the collar Gabriel had placed around his soul.
And for the first time in his life, Julian smiled—a cold, beautiful, dangerous smile.
