The Shadow Effect

The Shadow Effect

He was shocked at the power of the shadow and yet he couldn't attack it via normal means, he managed to pull the pillow away from her face and heard her breathing hitch, as she managed to take in the air to sustain her lungs. The shadow then turned his ire towards Matthias, stabbing him in the chest with a poisoned knife. Matthias screamed in agony as the fire of the poison worked through his system, before falling to the ground next to Emma. As they both lay there dying from the venom in their system, the door burst open as Katana and Viktor entered with brutal force. Katana had faced such an evil shadow once before and knew exactly how to stop this evil with a silent magic spell. With each

DEPTHS OF SHADOWS

DEPTHS OF SHADOWS

They were both afraid for what's to come, out of nowhere. It would be a hungry animal in search of food or a deadly monster who's waiting for its prey. Both of them hope it was just an assumption. “Suppleret nos lumen tuum.” Falla cast a spell as she waved a piece of stick on thin air and a blinding ball of light appeared up above them. It brightens the area close to them. There, a dark hooded figure stepped out of darkness to reveal itself. Its eyes were as red as blood and its presence gives a chilling and horrifying feel.

Gifted Shadows

Gifted Shadows

It was quiet for a few minutes and he finally said, “Tilly and I have absolutely no secrets. People like you and me … we can’t be with just anyone. It’s either one night stands, fake short term relationships or nothing. You don’t just find a Tilly on every corner. A woman that will accept you, that if you are totally honest with her … won’t be afraid of you. I never had someone to … to help me. To direct me, and it damn near killed me. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I call it my dark shadow … it’s a part of me, but it’s a part of me I can mostly keep hidden, that I can control.

Loved this story. I wish their was a sequel. I wanted her with Fletch but Javi is just as amazing. Great story. Loved it talked about their hardships. Most importantly, for me, that she was a Black girl (biracial) trying to fit in and go through life.

Beneath The Shadows

Beneath The Shadows

The truck sped across the muddy beaten path full of tire tracks from other vehicles. Lukas stared at the bright sky. Even if it was morning, the fact that the things they fight in the shadows existed made the world a dark one that no sunrise could ever illuminate. Back when he was living in ignorance, everything was colorful but when he was pulled into a battlezone where incarnated nightmares are the belligerents, everything just becomes black and white. And he thought that the Moro rebellion was dark enough. This conflict, simply known in the documents as the Shadow War, had made him see everything.

Rejected by My Mate, Fated to the Lycan King

Rejected by My Mate, Fated to the Lycan King

Omniscient It starts with a single crack. Not thunder. Not yet. Just the forest holding its breath before the sky suddenly splits open. This lightning doesn’t flicker, it hunts. Bolts slam into the earth with furious precision, carving trenches of steam into moss and root. The clouds churn above like something angry is watching through them, teeth bared behind each strike. “Move!” Scarlett shouts, hauling Erik toward the treeline. But it doesn’t matter. The lightning follows them.

The Moon Shadow

The Moon Shadow

Hilda's disappearance only sparked brief discussions within the crowd. Soon enough, everyone completely forgot about the incident. As evening fell, the fierce wind destroyed the pack's power, and the sudden darkness caused many to let out terrified screams. The piercing cries frightened the young children, and their sobs echoed in waves, turning the packhouse into chaos. The on-duty soldiers switched to backup lights, and five minutes later, the five large generators kicked in. Finally, light returned to the packhouse, and the disorderly crowd regained order.

MOONLIT SHADOWS

MOONLIT SHADOWS

They needed to dig deeper to understand its motives and weaknesses. As night fell, Emma and Lukas set out to investigate further. They visited the old forest where Emma's great-grandfatherhad reported his encounters with the creature. The air was heavy with an eerie silence, and the moonlight filtered through the thick canopy of trees, casting shadows that seemed to dance in the wind. Emma felt a chill run down her spine as they delved deeper into the forest, following the clues left behind by her great-grandfather. The atmosphere grew increasingly foreboding, and she had a sense that they were being watched.

Savage Passion

Savage Passion

If I succeeded, I would be far too indisposed to protect Lydia . "Why are you doing?" Lydia demanded, her gaze constantly flicking to the door. "Give me your hand." I implored and she shortly obliged. "We are going to the Nightshade. Right?" She asked. "Of course," I answered with grinding teeth. I pulled her close and hugged her tight. We needed to be close so I didn't make mistakes. As easy as it looked sometimes, walking through shadows was a dangerous task. I shut my eyes and took in a quick inhale. I felt an echo surge through me. A vibration that swallowed me whole. A ring that seemed to get louder and deafening. The difference this time was that it was worse. My body burned forcing me

Shadow Bound

Shadow Bound

Bo says, looking up at the sky. Iselyn and I help Delia gather the children, while Gray, Bo and the elders get to work setting everything and everyone into place before the moon reaches its peak. When Delia and the children are gone and the rest of the pack is chained to the trees, Gray and Bo take Iselyn and I a little farther out than the rest. “You’ll be okay,” Gray tells me, as he locks the thick metal clamp around my neck. I only nod in response. Much harder than I hope too.

Claimed by the Lycan King

Claimed by the Lycan King

He held Lyra's hand and looked into her eyes, promising her that everything would be alright. As the sun began to set, the darkness appeared on the horizon. It was a vast, shapeless mass of shadow, cold and hungry, pressing against the edges of the world. It seemed to swallow the light, its presence a weight that pressed down on the spirits of all who saw it. The people of the capital watched from their windows, their faces pale with fear, their hands clasped in prayer.
