I, obviously was completely clueless. “What is going on?” I whispered to Mira, who shrugged in response. “That is one of the young slaves brought in some months ago.” We heard someone tell another slave, who looked like she was a dear friend of hers.

I didn't need anyone to tell me that it was my turn for my room to be searched. Three guards walked into my room, and started scattering every single belongings I had in search of the diamond necklace. I stood at the other end of the room waiting for them to leave because I'm sure that I didn't steal anything. Mona held my hand as we watched the guards scatter everything I had including my underwear on the ground. That's what it means to be a slave... Everyone is allowed to treat you anyhow they wished to even the guards. Suddenly, one the guards screamed out loud, and I turned my gaze sharply to him.

"How do you know this?" "Because I have been here for seven days." She said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was captured on my way to Shadow Pack. I saw the cooks adding something to the food. And I watched the other slaves eat it, and then they were willing to do anything to please the master, even kill themselves. Kill each other. Whatever the master wanted."

If this guy wants to start something, I won't back down from a fight. “Uhm, you did do something terrible to me", I scoffed. “Really? Mind jogging my memory?”, He sat back and folded his arms, paying attention to me. “Well for starters, you bought me as a slave, then you brought me to your mansion just to lock me up in a cold dark room for weeks till I almost died!!”, I angrily told him. He sat forward and his eyes darkened, it looked like it was some nuclear weapon, waiting to be tampered with. I got scared for a minute, ‘Would he hurt me?’, I asked myself.

Wasn't it enough for her stepmother to hurt her father by having an affair with some young men behind him? And now, Jean's life would end up being one of the few auction women to become slaves to the lust of the masher men. The only thing I can taste is the salty taste of my tears. “ No special treatment is allowed.” I feel a tight grip on my arm and I am pulled up to my feet which can barely hold me. “ You are so thin like a stick. Seems like you’ve been breaking a lot of plates.” I look away from her stern gaze and fix my eyes on my feet. Who wouldn’t be thin after finding themselves in a slave dungeon where atrocities happen? A completely different world that no one would believe existed in this modern world. “ My eyes are on you.” She says menacingly and lets go of my arm before storming away like the storm she is.
