Shadow Pack

Shadow Pack

Samantha still couldn’t forgive the old geezer—now deceased—who had limped the old Alpha, Caleb’s father. If there was a second chance, Samantha wished that she was the one who had harmed Hank Kasun. She wanted to throttle him herself. This was because he instigated the Great War that had dwindled the members of Shadow Pack. There was another movement again in the dark shrubbery to her right. Samantha was looking around, trying to figure out what animals lay behind it for she could not see right through the shrubbery. The sun had gone down over the horizon hence the dim lights were limiting her acute sight.

Shadow Pact

Shadow Pact

His eyes were an amazing shade of gold, and just now they sparkled with the dark promise of death. Almost too fast to follow his movements, the dark-haired man crossed the room with its crumbling plaster walls and stood behind the wolf with two curved, ornate hand sickles already in his hands. The soft ringing of metal resounded as he swung with expert precision, not even brushing her hair with his blades while he decapitated her tormenter. The head that had just been level with hers went one direction, while the hands gripping her arms fell away and the body toppled to the floor on her other side. Her mouth fell open in stunned horror, then clamped firmly shut again as she was sprayed with

Shadow Bound

Shadow Bound

I push myself off the forest floor, pausing for a moment as I do to dig my fingers into the damp earth beneath me. I use my heightened senses to find my way back to camp. I stop short as I get close, hearing voices in the distance. “I called in a few favors,” I hear Gray’s deep, rumbling voice say in a low hushed tone. “And?” Cordelia presses. “It’s near extinction, not just for us, but for every pack,” He tells her. “Nobody thinks there will be enough to last another two months.” “We’ll figure something out, Gray,” She tells him.

Shadows Of Deception

Shadows Of Deception

"Remember, you are my hero. Don't leave me in this cruel world. I have no one else to turn to; Ivy and Adrian have become like your daughter and son now that we have no children after Salindra's passing." Tears streamed down my cheeks as I realized I couldn't hold back any longer. "Collins, this is the last battle you can fight for someone you love. Now is the time to do it." I rested my head on his chest, crying and pouring out my feelings, feeling the rhythm of his heartbeat and the rise and fall of his chest. I noticed his thumb and index finger twitch.

THE WOLFLESS LUNA

THE WOLFLESS LUNA

The golden stranger gently placed his hand on Shadow's shoulder. “You can rest now.” The Shadow closed its eyes. A peaceful smile appeared on its face for the first time. “I’ve never rested before.” I know.” The darkness surrounding its body dissolved completely. Then the Shadow looked at me one final time. “I’m sorry.” Before I could answer, its body became thousands of tiny silver and black lights that drifted upward into the healing sky. The battlefield stood in stunned silence as the last trace of the Shadow disappeared. The golden stranger watched the lights rise with quiet sadness. Then his expression suddenly changed. He looked beyond the repaired stars. Beyond the restored heavens. H

Throne of Desires: My uncle, My sinful mate

Throne of Desires: My uncle, My sinful mate

"The ritual is old and dangerous. It must be done at full moon, in the ocean. You shall have two wolves walk you down and stand by your side while it happens. You offer your shadow willingly. The gods will take it, but they will curse it too. After that, you and Paris can be together. No more hiding." Tears stung my eyes. The choice felt impossible. Freedom and love on one side. Eternal guilt on the other. My shadow seemed to move on its own for a moment, as if it fought against the idea. “Can my shadow be killed?” “Yes,” “What happens if it’s killed, do I die too?” “No,” Lephone sighed, breaking the hold. “If your shadow goes wild, your shadow guardians would kill him. When that happens…” s

he said defiantly, trying to get up. He lunged at me. I dove out of his way and drew my shard down in his back with everything I had, praying I hit his spine. We both fell on the floor with a thud, only a few feet apart. I could see his eyes. “That’s for Noora, you motherfucker, she knew what you were,” I whispered as he stopped moving and drew his last breath. The door burst open, shaking the floor beneath me, just as I blacked out.

Loved this story. I wish their was a sequel. I wanted her with Fletch but Javi is just as amazing. Great story. Loved it talked about their hardships. Most importantly, for me, that she was a Black girl (biracial) trying to fit in and go through life.

Jaguar's Shadow

Jaguar's Shadow

She closed her eyes, reciting words that seemed to resonate with an ancient power: "When the forest weeps and darkness nears, Two souls shall meet across the years. One born of shadow, one of light, Together they'll set the future right. The Shadow's strength, the Flame's bright light, United they'll stand against the night. In balance found, new hope takes flight, As dusk and dawn at last unite." Asha's eyes opened, fixing me with an intense stare. "You, my dear, are the Light spoken of in the prophecy. And Kai," she said, turning to him, "you are the Shadow." My mind reeled, struggling to process the weight of Asha's words. I looked at Kai, seeing the same mix of confusion and, somehow, th
