I clutched them tightly and continued my search until I saw a shark circling around her. my brown eyes transformed into a fiery yellow, my hands radiating flames. I directed the fire straight at the menacing shark that threatened Destiny. The flames struck the predator, causing it to sink instantly. I moved over to the defeated shark, its mouth wide open, and without hesitation, I tore its jaws apart. With Destiny in my arms, appearing barely alive, I swam upward, resurfacing as I sensed the presence of dangerous fish lurking nearby. I swam as fast as i could,to reach the safety of dry land.

Althea’s voice bounced of her ears as she faced the hellish black wide open jaws of the monster closing in on her. In a burst of adrenaline, Tala broke off part of the wooden bangka, and drove into the shark’s dead black eyes, as it bit off a huge chunk of her torso before suddenly turning and disappearing into the now bloodstained waters.
