I didn’t recognize what kind of language it was but I’m amazed how smoothly I read it. Was it because the real Nemiah is inside me? Or

I suggested, showing her the page. “No!” she shouted. I sighed. That was one of my favorites, because it told of the first beta, and I always thought of mine and Reid’s friendship. I flipped through the book some more until I ended up back at the very beginning. The first story, the story of our origins. “‘The First of the Wolves’?” I asked, peeking at her from the corner of my eye. Her eyes lit up, but then she forced a frown. However, it was too late. I was the wolf, I ate her entire world in one gulp. Only this time, there wasn't a butcher to save her.

And castles, and lochs, and maybe even a highland cow or two." Christian appeared in the doorway, looking handsome in a casual sweater and jeans.
