I raise an eyebrow. “We’re meant to be working, that does not seem like it would result in good work focus.” I object. Bellamy just pulls me down and settles me onto his lap. “Sure it will, I’m way more relaxed and focussed when I know exactly where you are. Besides, there are two of us, so twice the focus right?” I turn and give him a look that says I definitely think there is something dodgy in that logic, but he’s already opening up his emails. He opens the first one and reads it out to me. It’s written by one of the Shifter women, a mother who is concerned that her youngest son still seems to be having some difficulties shifting back and forth. “I hate every one of you. “I never want to see any of you again.” Then the light swallowed me. And I disappeared from the shifter world for good. --- Three years had passed since I returned to my own world. At first, I still woke from nightmares, trapped again in that other life. But work grew busier. Time moved on. Slowly, the memories faded. The shifters’ faces blurred until they no longer seemed real. Sometimes, I wondered whether it had all been nothing more than a nightmare.

It's with a heavy mind that Chasing Shifters will be going to a 2x a wk updating. Life has gotten much busier for me and as of now, and I can only do updates 2 days a wk. so look out for new episodes on Weds and Sats. This change will go into effect this wk. “I actually enjoyed it. It was really interesting. Did you know Shifter can shift into anything out every animal group for the first month or so until you find your other?” He smiled clearly, amused at my reaction to this new school. “Yes, I did know that.” “Really old, pure blood, trained shifters can change into anything they see in front of them.” I told him even though I knew he would know, I was still amazed by what I just learned. “Thentos, Nia!” My nickname catched on quickly. I looked around and pulled Thentos to a stop as we waited for Stuttgart. He was smiling brightly, his gorgeous eyes focused on us.

It was a tactic that was effective, most especially on those who were unfamiliar with it. Tanner was too familiar with both shifters. “Hmmm,” Misha rumbled. “Misha, this is my office,” Tanner said quietly. There was no one other than the two of them in the room. There was not strategic need for such intimidation. Tanner was familiar with this too. “I know,” Misha droned. Tanner eyed his Alpha’s son. There was less than six inches of space between them. “We can take Lightmoon one to two, but these shifters, we now know, must be stronger than their average members, being close to their Alpha, being top warrior class members.”

There was something intimate about the way our bodies and the bike moved as one. We’d been riding for a long time when we finally reached the end of the road. The small lookout spot where Merrick parked was near the top of the mountain. He didn’t shut the Harley off right away, letting it rumble beneath our thighs. “What is this place?” I asked, releasing Merrick before I slid off the bike and walked to the edge of the lookout spot. Down below us, I could see Shifter City poking through the trees. The houses were in varying clumps, some of the clumps much larger than others. Fight how you would fight if he was a true enemy. I am a runner, I’m sneaky, and I am a shifter. I stepped up, dipping low, twisting my body on to the ground as I stretched my leg out, swinging it with force. The palms of my hand rest on the soft fabric beneath our feet, but my claws break through, and I can feel the cushion deep within. My leg hits the side of his knee, causing him to buckle, and lose that strong stance he took. He tries to catch himself from falling as I twist my body back up, lifting my knee high, making contact with his chin. His body begins to fly backwards. I grabbed both of his arms, pulling them out, separating them from each other as I pulled him back up towards me,

I tell him, wrapping my legs around his waist to move him closer. "With pleasure, my dear." He slides inside, and I feel a slight pain that quickly goes away. One major benefit of being a shifter is that we actually get to enjoy our first time with less pain than a human woman. He stretches my walls with his massive size, and I clench around him when he stops. The way his eyes glaze over tells me this feels as good to him as it does to me. "Alright, little doe, it's time for me to claim you. Do you want to mark me first?" He asks, adjusting slightly so he can move a little deeper. Is he getting ready to come up the back of my throat? Is that even possible?

I asked, and he sighed, looking away. "The shifter world is more complicated than you think. The companies that make the suppressants are the same companies that make the blockers. They exist as a way to protect and destroy," he explained, and that confused me even more than the whole debacle. "What does that even mean? When shifters commit crimes that are horrible, they are put on these medications to destroy their glands, and they are stripped of their ability to release pheromones. It's a sort of crippling." He looked grim as he spoke.

He’s a strong wolf but he’s not even a beta. I could feel us getting closer when the smell of blood hit my nose. I pushed Rain to go as hard as she can. I could smell hers and Jennies fear swirling in the air. I saw Sairos body up ahead, he still hasn’t shifted back to his human. I slowed Rain down as we approached. The stench of the bear was everywhere. I tightened the reins on Rain and circled. Sairo was barely breathing and he couldn’t connect through the mind link. I went to dismount when I saw him. He had shifted back to his human form was running full speed at us. I drew my arrow and fired off a bow but he dodged it. Jennie was now yelling my name. The attacker getting closer, then he
