The door flung wide, flooding the little room with bright artificial light. Serine squinted, trying to shield herself from the awful light while trying to figure out who or what had assaulted her senses. For a few moments, two anthropomorphic shadows lingered in the brightly lighted threshold before entering the room and locking the door behind them.

She got to the door and found a note on it. "Look with your Shadow Sight," she read aloud. She concentrated, peering through all the shadows of the house. At the bottom of the stairs, there was another wheelchair in the darkened antechamber just outside of Shane's playroom. That room itself was lit, so she saw nothing in it. Shamira rolled back to her chambers and parked her current chair in the bathroom, locking the door and turning out the light, then jumping downstairs to the waiting chair.

Each orb pulsed with a different hue: blue, green, orange, casting shifting light patterns around the room. It was like standing in a library of souls, a collection of raw power.

Placing her thumb on his the entire wall of shelves folds in on itself, revealing a smaller room within. “We call it the war room,” Charity comments, arms crossed over her chest, enjoying my reaction to the amount of weapons lining each wall. Each one is sitting comfortably in its place, with spotlights shining down from above. Underneath each case sat a chest of drawers, and only the Goddess knows what fills them. Flipping on the overhead lights, it engulfs the room in a cool blue tone. “Pretty cool, huh?” I just stare wide eyed at the enigma who is the Gamma of Silver Run.
