By the second window, were two chairs and a round table. Shinja was rummaging the dressing table on the right side of the bed. There was within it combs, glowing hair strands and a few little creatures that had taken refuge in the confined space. It hadn't been that long since she came to this place, she thought to herself but the creatures had been quick to make the place their own.

I answer quickly. I was surprised when Shin suddenly smiled but I was even more surprised when he softly held my hand and carried me to the piled chairs here. “And what made you this?” A brief chuckle escaped him. “Sit.” Against my better judgment, I obeyed. He lowered himself into the chair across from me, both hands resting over the carved head of his cane. Under the brighter indoor light, the scar slicing across his right eye looked harsher, older, as though his face had once been split by something that intended to finish the job. “I am Shino,” he said.
