Shoe Dog Young Readers Edition Novels & Stories

"Of course, dear. Let us go and find you some lovely shoes." We walked into the shoe shop and a different woman came forward to help us. I tried to focus on the shoes but my heart was still beating fast. The dog had been so frightened....so very frightened of her. Maya whispered inside me. The dog saw something. I know, I told her quietly. I tried on a few pairs of shoes and finally found a pair that I liked. They were soft blue and the heel was just the right height. They were not too tall to make my feet hurt but they were tall enough to look elegant. They matched the dress perfectly.

I burry my face in his fur. "I see Richard became fond of you then," the salesman said, bending down to pet his dog. I nodded at him and slumped back down on the grass. "Tired already? It's just four laps, you need to do ten, remember?" I shrugged and ignored him. My lungs felt like burning and my knees were refusing my mental orders. There was no way I could run six more laps, I would die. "Jodi?" he insinuated. I heard the man sigh and whispered something to his dog. Richard started licking my face again then he bit on my right shoe dragging my body, forcing me to stand.

she said as she covered her mouth, it seeemed like as more clues were found, she was getting even more worried about Ariana. “Great, this would do” Rufus siad as he took it and then bent to the level of the dog. He muttered some things to the dog who was doing its best to get away and when he had finished muttering, he placed the shoe in the dog’s nostrils and then the dog started to shake it’s head. “Why is it shaking his head?” Nikki asked as she crossed her fingers, she would not be able to forgive herself if anything happened to her friend.

“Donald Duck and Daisy also wear shoes. All the animals in the cartoon stand up straight because they have shoes on their feet.” "Wow cool! I also always wear shoes. How about we put Junior shoes on so Junior can walk?” “We don't have shoes for Junior, honey. And I'm not sure Junior would want to wear shoes like Goofy." “Is that how a mother works? Making up a fictitious story to fool his son?” whispered Xena furiously in her ear. Lexie remained calm with all the accusations that Xena had thrown at her. She did have to be more patient while facing Xena.

"Of course I do. My ribs hurt for a week." "You were so small," he mused. "You were standing there with one shoe off, staring at that dog like you were waiting for it to give you directions." I remembered the smell of the dog. It was a heavy, sour reek—not like a wolf, but like something that was rotting while it was still alive. White foam had been dripping from its jaw, bubbling on the cobblestones. I’d been cornered. I’d lost my slipper in the mud two blocks back, and my bare foot was freezing. I had begged the dog to spare me, but it was too crazed to understand basic communication.

she commanded but I already did after her sentence. The young man is hopping from roof to roof and when I'm catching up with his speed, he jumps down to the ground while I cling my claws on top of a house after a hop. The young man is running towards a house when I leap higher and land on him, yet he parries me with his thin but sturdy enchanted shield.

Determined to be a competent assistant, I resolved to read all the books on the shelf, no matter how long it took. One day, as I opened one of the books, I realized how patient Luke had been with me. Just as I selected a book to begin reading, my Samoyed started tugging at my pants leg. "Alright, alright! I'll take you out," I said. Grabbing my phone and finding an e-book version, I put on my Bluetooth headset and headed out with my dog. As soon as we stepped outside, Wendy called. "Wendy, I bought some toys for Big Dog. I'll bring them over after work tomorrow."

"Miss Sasha will give you the book we are reading. We are on Chapter Eight." Sasha handed me a book, The Adventures of Adeline. "Thank you Miss Sasha." I smiled. "I hope this is okay with you." She looked shocked but said, "Yes. You are really good with the pups. Ashley clearly likes you." "All right pups! Chapter Eight." I said as I turned to the page. I started reading, Ashley leaned against my chest. As I read, I tried to use different voices for the characters. The pups laughed, I held their attention easily. Miss Sasha sat down at her desk and worked on some paperwork. As I finished the chapter, I said "The adventures will continue, but that is for another day! Let's get back to our des

Instead I found a letter. The handwriting filled the screen before I registered what I was looking at, and my chest tightened the moment I recognized it. My father's handwriting. The careful, slanted script I used to find on birthday cards and margin notes in the books he loaned me, unmistakable even eight years after I'd last seen it in person. I sat frozen, my coffee going cold beside me, and started to read. *Elise, if you're reading this, it means Gideon has finally shown you who he really is.*

He asked, I look at him and there I saw a dog wagging his tail. "No," I responded that made him gloomy. "I promise I won't meddle with you." He said. I just ignored him and continued what I am doing.
