Victor was so surprised by Terrence's cry that he nearly turned around and struck Terrence with his weapon. He couldn't understand why Terrence was panicking. "What's the matter?" Victor asked indifferently. Terrence was right behind him, while Jodi was hunting mechanical birds on the rooftop of a four-story building nearby. Neither of them was in danger. Jackson drops to his knees beside me, his face sharp with urgency. “Call 911!” Lee stammers through shaking breaths, “There’s been a shooting — Inferno’s parking bay — send an ambulance, hurry!” The copper tang of blood thickens in the air. Jackson gags once, twice, turning his head away.
