What better way to eliminate boredom than by reading a book? I had recently downloaded a reading app, where you can read your favourite stories of different genres. Right now I am reading a novel called Loving Hayden. It is about two teens who were once archenemies but later became friends with their enemies. Okay, maybe not friends with benefits, more like enemies with benefits. I was eager to see where their relationship was going to lead. I continue to flip through my phone as I read the story. I was so engrossed with the story that I didn't realize how much time had passed. I was disturbed by the sound of a knock at the door.

She didn't know what book they meant. "Then, let's take out your books. Have you read them?" Grabbing their bags, the students answered. "Yes, Miss. I read it before bed, ten pages long. The story was really exciting, and the pictures were cute! It made me interested in going on an adventure." "No, Miss. I just got back to L City last night. I didn't have time to read it." "Me too! I just got back from Iceland last night. I haven't even had time to open the package yet."

Its title is The Portion. "This is a beginner's book. This beautiful organization is filled with knowledge, peace, and power but has rules. Many of us shared the same heart when we first entered those doors. And most of us have been vindicated, but we were steadfast and loyal to the cause." I grabbed my purse and headed out the door, turning back for my book on the kitchen counter; reading books will forever be my first love. At The Tasty Place Diner I found what might be my new inspiration. He was tall, almost roughed, not too soft. I don’t know what to make of what happened. “Mr. Blackwood,” he had signed my book; who was he? He was light skinned. I usually like men a shade closer to purple. His chest was broad, too broad. Usually my men are slimmer. He had lazy eyes that looked intense just when he needed them to be. Bedroom McDreamy eyes... And he smiled like a humming bird, glorious and slick.

~Liliana~ These days after the gala don’t really settle into anything smooth. They just keep going, one after another, in a way that still catches me off guard. Every morning Rebecca wakes me up the same way, her little hands grabbing my arm and shaking until I open my eyes. She always has some urgent job for us, like lining up her stuffed animals for a big fight or sneaking a few extra strawberries from the kitchen before anyone notices. This was going to be a long session. * * * “You're reading too hard,” I say, reaching over to drag the book closer. “Stop trying to memorize every word. Read like you're listening to someone talk to you.” “That sounds easy.” “It’s not. But it’s how people who read a lot remember things. Here—” I flip a page. “Skim the first two paragraphs, then tell me what it’s about in two lines.” She hesitates, then bends over the page. Her lips move silently as she scans. Her brows pinch together, then smooth. A few seconds later, she looks up.

He could’ve stayed at his office for overtime. She finally asked him tonight but he didn’t bother answering her. Rolling her eyes at him and turning away, she opened an app on her phone to read. She finds reading stories is less boring than reference books. She only likes short ones, though. She doesn’t have the patience to read full-length novels. Not even a novella. She wants to finish reading a story within an hour. Melissa laid on the couch, with him in her view and her body on display for him. She smirked as a naughty plan occurred to him. Well, there were some bed scenes on the story she’s reading and they’re quite descriptive of what’s going on between the characters.
