I had been hurt too many times before. “Fuck it. I don’t want anything from you,you’ve done enough” I snapped, my voice sharper than I intended. But I couldn't help it: I was no damsel who needed some guy to come running and fix everything. Not a strange idiot who had literally run me over with his car. "You're just a guy who accidentally ran me over: you don't get to be the hero here. I'm not your damsel in distress, Nathan." His lips twist into a smile - a grin that doesn't reach his eyes. "You're something worse than a damsel in distress."

He took a deep breath and continued. "I can't take the weight of your love, I just can't. I'm getting lost on you, I feel like you'll be safe in the hands of another. I'm beyond damaged, I'm broken to the core. There are times I've felt maybe I'm not broken, just bent, but now, now I know I'm broken. Despite knowing broken things still work, I also know there's an expiry date. Broken things work till they don't."

Every second feels like forever, as my broken heart shatters further with each gasp, filling my mouth with even more water, until the darkness seeps in, swallowing me whole. But I don’t fight it. Instead, I let it consume me. I welcome its cold embrace, as the words, 'You're nothing but a bet' echoes in my mind like a broken whisper.

One moment he felt like he was on cloud nine and the very next all his hopes were smashed into pieces . He took a deep breath and consoled his heart like had been doing since ages . Then he held her Pinky finger with his own and said -

" My love! Are you hurt? Remember! Don't leave without telling us anything. Also, didn't I tell you that don't talk to strangers!?" How to describe a heartache romantically? Agony of heart? How does a poet create beautiful poems of heartbreak? I don't know. Because it doesn't feel like Autumn's unwelcome wind or winter's unbearable cold. That pain is something indescribable. It doesn't suit any line of those poems. A stranger? Yes. I am the stranger here. But since I am a human too. Can't he be a little considered for my heart?
