Agreement with the Italian

Agreement with the Italian

" exclaim the others, clinking their glasses together. "Thanks mom, I love you," I say and so does Pilar, pulling us all the way over to her booth to hug her. "I much more, my dears." "After we've toasted and finished dinner, we're still gathered in the dining room, listening to George and Maggie's stories that have actually kept us quite entertained, even though we already know too well and have heard the story about how they met about a hundred times. I look at the time on the clock hanging on the wall and realize that it is only two minutes to midnight.

TOO GOOD TO LEAVE TOO BAD TO STAY

TOO GOOD TO LEAVE TOO BAD TO STAY

The expensive-looking people in the party took their respective seats while the workers stood behind them, ready to serve. Freda took up a champagne flute, hitting it softly with a spoon to gain the attention of people around her. She succeeded, and all her feet stopped shuffling. Her eyes were on her. She cleared her throat and proceeded. “I welcome you all here to this dinner party.” She looked around, as if looking for one particular person. “I know this came as a shock to most of you because we are all business partners and this is a personal family dinner. I believe we are all family in the business world.” She took a bottle of wine and poured herself a cup, indicating that others shoul

where there are too many chapters it is 1) Stockholm syndrome or 2) the writers drag the story deliberately to bring back the once wrong relationships, heart broken lovers, selfish and abusive husbands again. Somewhere they discourage the girls from seeking happiness and drift them back to the trap
Tracey Wijetunge
Would have been a good story and shorter if author didn’t screw up the plots. One minute they are dead then they are not. One minute they are married then just engaged such a big stuff up but then I guess it’s one way to rip you off.

Betrayed By Husband And Son: Rise Of A Billionaire Wife

Betrayed By Husband And Son: Rise Of A Billionaire Wife

Silver~ The dinner party was hosted by the seaside. Four seater round tables were beautifully decorated with flowers and packed with snacks, wine, and dessert. My mother obviously lied about the guests. It was a crowd of elites. Politicians with practiced smiles. Business magnates whose laughter sounded rehearsed. Scientists, philanthropists, socialites—people who owned countries quietly, without titles. The sea glimmered with dimmed lights behind them, lanterns floating above the waves. Soft music drifted through the air, masking the quiet competition beneath every conversation.

A Time for Strength

A Time for Strength

He shakes his head and sits down next to Milo. “You okay, Bronx?” I lean forward and murmur out loud. “Yeah, they must have had an air freshener or candle or something in here.” He takes a bite of his sandwich. “Damn. That’s good.” *** “If you can join us in the dining room at six-thirty, Alpha Graham would like to say a few words before the special dinner we planned for Alpha Bronx..” Alpha Graham’s assistant, Lori, stops us before we leave. “There’s a dance party after. We wanted to show our appreciation.”

I thought this was a great book. It was interesting to read the perspectives of other characters, allowing us to see what they knew and when. My only complaint is a seemingly awkward ending. Does anyone know if the author is ok?

31 Chapters 07/13/23 Yesssss Sugar Mama, you've got my attention. Love a baddie, strong female with a saucy attitude. I was so tired of these weak little damsels who need big Zaddy Alpha to save them. I was horny throughout FL scenes. Thank you for that.

Where Broken Hearts Meet

Where Broken Hearts Meet

At least he didn't want to talk to me. When the limos came to a stop, the chauffeur opened his door first, where he climbed out and walked around to my door to open it and help me out. As soon as I was out of the limo, Eugene gave me his arm again, and I linked myself with him. He then leads me to the rest of the group, and we all enter the dinner party. I hope this party is at least a success for Papa's business cooperation with the Wright's. Well, never would I have thought things would take an unexpected turn at this party that would change my life forever. This dinner party was the beginning of a disaster.

A MAFIA LOVE STORY

A MAFIA LOVE STORY

Dinner party part one. Lila. The dinner party was hardly the intimate affair I had imagined it would be. There were at least two hundred of Manhattan’s most elite social movers in attendance, and it made it hard for me not to be grateful for the dress Jake’s efficient PA had provided for me at the last minute. It was too short and too tight for my taste, but judging by the similarly bedecked Barbie dolls that were hanging on their date’s arms the look was par for the course.

Dark Drippy Desires

Dark Drippy Desires

I pull her closer. The pastries arrive at nine. We stay until one. Seven minutes home. And then several more hours of exactly what fourteen months of patience had been building toward, unhurried and completely certain and better than any dinner party either of us had ever attended. Which is saying something... Because the dinner party was extraordinary. End of Arc 22: Open House

Abandoned by my ex, I accept his boss proposal

Abandoned by my ex, I accept his boss proposal

“But I’ll see you tonight for the dinner party. And I’m planning to come with Mia. Is that okay with you?” “Of course. I’m glad she’s coming.” I nodded and turned to leave, but something inside me tugged at my nerves. I couldn’t quite place it. Maybe it was just excitement. Maybe it was intuition whispering from the shadows back at my office, I called mia and told her about tonight and she was more than excited to come with me. The dinner party was beautiful. Lights draped from tûhe ceiling like stars, soft music playing in the background, and the clinking of glasses filled the air. Richard stood at the center of it all, his presence like gravity — pulling everyone toward him.

The Billionaire’s Broken Contract

The Billionaire’s Broken Contract

She handed me her card with her personal number written on the back in blue ink. ********* That evening, Brett took me to a dinner party at the Sterling Club. The dining room was filled with Manhattan's elite, their laughter and conversation creating a backdrop of wealth and privilege that made me feel like an intruder. "Remember," Brett murmured as we entered, his hand possessive on my lower back. "You're here to be seen, not heard." I nodded, taking my place beside him at the long mahogany table. The other guests barely acknowledged me, except for whispered speculation about who I was and why Brett had brought me. I caught fragments of their conversations, my name mixed with words like "ch
