The eyes were burning red and the wolf have a blasting roar and he wanted to stand up again but couldn't. As he tried roaring, he roared from his sleep and woke up with a start. Lukas Briston was breathing heavily. His chest was moving up and down and he was covered in sweat. "Who was that" he asked. But no one was there to give him an answer. His sleep disappeared and he raised himself to sit. An enemy has confronted and defeated him? Who was stronger than him that was capable of Killing him? Besides the Lycan Alpha, no other Alpha was capable of defeating him in his present strength. And as for the Lycan Alpha, they were distant friends.

Chen was waiting in the foyer. One look at Isabelle’s bloodstained arm and her expression hardened into something lethal. “Medical kit,” she snapped to someone unseen. “Now.” Isabelle sank onto the edge of the sofa, shock creeping in as the adrenaline drained. Her hands wouldn’t stop shaking. The USB slipped from her fingers and clattered to the floor. Dante saw it. He picked it up slowly. “What did he give you?” he asked. “A warning,” Isabelle said hoarsely. “And that.”

I assured him. “Again, can’t wait.” He sarcastically said, but I could’ve sworn there was a glint of relief in his eyes. “Enough of this gushy talk, tell me, how do you feel?” “Normal.” “Ok, good start. Come smell me.” Max asked, sticking his neck up for me. I took a whiff, sandalwood, but this time I sneezed at the smell. “Perfect. You're cured for the time being. Now let me go find a way to get rid of these urges for the beast, but not the beast’s sister.” Max began walking out mumbling something along the lines of, “can’t live with um, especially when they don’t let you kill the one thing that could ruin our clan.”

The word lands in my chest like something cold. "Less moody," Enzo offers, checking the mirror. "Probably smiles more." "He smiles," Dante says. "When?" "When he is doing something violent." "Right, but like. Regularly. In normal situations. Less touchy about his things." "I am not touchy about my things," I say. "You pulled a gun on me over a chair," Enzo says. "That was a warning." "You cocked it." "Still a warning." I look out the window. "This conversation is finished."
