Shadow Moon

Shadow Moon

As the floodgates opened, Aqua's mind was flooded with images and sensations she had long forgotten. She saw her parents, their faces twisted in fear, as dark figures closed in around them. She heard their screams echoing through the night like a haunting melody. And then she saw herself, standing at the center of it all, her hands bathed in a flickering light as she fought desperately to defend them. The memories came rushing back with an intensity that left Aqua reeling, her breath catching in her throat. She staggered backward, overwhelmed by the weight of the truth. "No, it can't be," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.

Billionaire's Pampered Wife

Billionaire's Pampered Wife

The timid girls screamed, and the people in the living room fell into a panic instantly. Many stood up instinctively, while some squatted down instead. It was chaotic. Natalie Wheeler felt goosebumps all over her body. There was something strange about the ship's departure and the sudden power loss. What was more, they were on an isolated island, hence this all suggested that something sinister was afoot. "Eli!" Natalie shouted worriedly. All of a sudden, she felt a hand holding on to her waist.

Shallow Love

Shallow Love

I considered it a proper closure to our ten years together. However, the moment I texted him, I realized that Liam had blocked me on WhatsApp. Having no choice, I opened Christine's social media. Previously, I had muted her posts. I knew Liam was likely with her. Sure enough, I spotted his silhouette in a post that Christine had uploaded just 30 minutes earlier.

Project Dakota: Rising of the dead

Project Dakota: Rising of the dead

"I've just been told... All transportation on and off the island has been shut down. The ferry, the airport... everything. The government is trying to contain this." Another loud crash sounded off-camera. The reporter's head whipped around. Someone yelled. The camera jerked wildly, and the screen dissolved into static, followed once again by the "Technical Difficulties" message. The room was dead silent. The only sound was Gary's labored breathing. The truth crashed down on me. It wasn't just one crazy person. It was an outbreak. A quarantine. We were trapped.

The Alpha’s Genius Dud

The Alpha’s Genius Dud

“The salt-mist is thick, but there’s something else down there. A frequency I’ve never seen. It’s like the island is breathing.” Faith stood behind him, her silver eyes fixed on the fog. Through her bond with Killian, she could feel his heart beating fast. He was standing in the back of the ship with the forty sisters, his hand resting on his weapon. He was an Alpha in a place that didn't follow the rules of wolves, and it made his instincts scream. “There,” Faith pointed. The mist parted, revealing a bumpy rock of an island. In the center stood a massive, black lighthouse made of reinforced steel and glass. It didn't look like a normal building: it looked like a giant computer tower stickin

A Shadow of Doubt

A Shadow of Doubt

"Feeling under the weather? Where's your other half, not with you today?" I did not even get a chance to answer when Sarah, who had been slumped over like she was out of commission, suddenly sprang to life and stumbled toward the Dean of Medicine, Patrick Hoffman. "Sir, you've got to help me!" Patrick looked completely thrown off by her dramatic entrance, his brow creasing in confusion. "And you are?" Tears streamed down Sarah's face as they clutched their stomach, a picture of distress. "This person… I'm carrying their child! However, this person… denying it, and dragged me here today to get an abortion!"

The Billionaire’s 30-Day Debt.

folder lay open before her, its pages illuminated by the harsh, flickering hum of a fluorescent bulb that sounded like a trapped insect. She wasn't looking at the lab reports anymore. She was staring at her father’s map. The island was a tiny, jagged speck in the Grenadines called Isla de Sombra—Shadow Island. It didn't appear on any commercial nautical charts, but in the Vane family ledger, it was listed as the "Primary Asset."

The Reset

The Reset

POV: Zia The drive is agonizing. The further north we go, the more the island changes. The bright lights of Lihue fade into the deep, prehistoric shadows of the mountains. Every time we pass a streetlamp, the light flickers across Clayton’s face, showing a man who looks like he’s driving toward his own execution. I stare out the window, watching the silhouettes of the ironwood trees. Suddenly, the "static" in my head begins to clear. It’s not a slow fade; it’s like a curtain being ripped open.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

But Peanut nodded anyway. Then the lighthouse appeared again through the rain. Closer now. Much closer. Its dark shape stood against the storm. Waiting. Then Walter pointed. "There!" Everyone looked. A light. Inside the lighthouse. A real light. Moving. Someone was there. God. Someone was waiting. Fair. Please let them be friendly. Reasonable honestly. Then another scream echoed across the island. Closer this time. Much closer. The thing was gaining on them. Then Ava looked back.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.
