Enchanting the Prince

Enchanting the Prince

Hera turns her head and gives him a nod before moving quietly forward. The bridge looks like an old wooden bridge that’s barely standing. Many of the planks are missing and she will have to be careful not to fall into the water below. She peaks over the side of the cliff and sees an enormous looking man, snoring loudly, his chin on his chest. She looks on the other side and sees another huge man, laying on his side, looking like boulders, instead of a person. With every exhale he makes, he sends waves pushing out into the river. “Slow and steady wins the race, Hera.” Buppig says in her ear.

This is definitely my favorite from all the guardian series. It’s so different and refreshing! The storyline is so well written. Although I did hope there were more scenes of Aolis and Lily together though, but it’s amazing and I even reread the book!

I just finished this book, and it was amazing. I loved all previous books a lot, but this was very different, made my heart warm ... Since Cara and Rik and Canyon Ridge Pack were my favourites, I am so happy to see Lily becoming so strong and One True Queen ...

His Runaway Queen

His Runaway Queen

It softened something in me that had been hard and knotted since the kidnapping. "Mommy! Look!" I stepped out onto the patio. "It's a bridge!" "A drawbridge," Damian corrected gently, standing up and brushing off his hands. "Technically, it's a bascule bridge. He’s got a knack for structural integrity." "He gets it from you," I said, smiling at Damian. "Lucian builds empires. You build bridges." Damian’s eyes met mine, a flicker of warmth in their depths. "Empires crumble, Aria. Bridges connect. I’d argue which one is more important, but I don’t want to bore you with the philosophy."

Marked From Birth

Marked From Birth

"They need a bridge. A sacrifice of light." As the first lick of the black water hit the base of the Citadel, the ground buckled. The sound was like the world’s spine snapping. The massive obsidian gates, which had withstood the Sleeper’s armies, began to groan and weep violet tears. Audrey stepped out onto the "Promontory of the Moon"—a jutting ledge of rock that hung directly over the abyss. "Lucas, give me your hand," she said. "Audrey, whatever you're thinking—"

The CEO's Fabulous Ex-Wife

The CEO's Fabulous Ex-Wife

Zora said directly, unknowingly warming his heart. A sigh of relief escaped him, but there were two surprised couples. “Clone? What are you talking about?” Sebastian asked curiously. Zora sat down and only then did she realize how thirsty she was. “Can I get some water first?” She asked. Lake was equally thirsty due to the bustling day they had. “Me too,” he requested. Sebastian and Madison exchanged glances as Madison went to get the water. “Thanks for being there for her, Lake,” Ezrah said, knowing by the mere look at Lake that he had been there for Zora when Ezrah couldn’t.

Truth be told, she is indeed fabulous! Read about 35% and it sure is entertaining and at times laughing my pants off. There's also suspense and action & attraction everywhere. And yes, I have a crush on Lake. He's amazing!

Blind Faith

Blind Faith

“That is not good enough! I’ll take her across.” “Sir, I can’t allow that.” Z shoved him aside. “Follow me,” he told Rai. “Keep your hand on my shoulder. Understand?” The two of them lowered onto the precarious bridge and walked their way across 100 feet. “Tell me what you see,” she said. “An abyss of darkness below us. Tree tops. A bridge that should be illegal, and mountains capped with snow.” “No, Z. Tell me what you really see. Allow me to experience this through your eyes.”

The Reluctant Alpha and His Sassy Queen

The Reluctant Alpha and His Sassy Queen

“We’re desperate.” Mira nodded fiercely. “Desperate wolves don’t fail.” Time was called. One by one, teams presented their bridges. Most collapsed the moment water touched them. Some didn’t even last long enough for the judges to test weight. Then came Liora’s team. Her bridge… died. Instantly. A single drop of water hit it and it folded like wet paper. The audience gasped. Liora’s parents covered their faces. Then Scarlet spoke loudly, interrupting the judges just as they prepared to end the round.

Angels of the Burning Sun

Sophia asked submerged in water. "Sophia I wanna confirm something, get out of the river and hold Zack again," Suzan said intriguingly. Sophia did so. "Now try walking on water again" Suzan ordered. "Ahh, this time you want Zack to fall along with me haha.... but still Roger that!!" Sophia replied. "Impossible.... it's a.... miracle". Suzan looked astonished seeing Sophia standing on the flowing water along with Zack. "Heck yeah, it is impossible....what is happening, sister??" Sophia was even more surprised.

Echoes in the Ashes

Echoes in the Ashes

As the pendant's glow intensified, it illuminated their way through the shadows. "Where are we heading?" Over the wind, Zara yelled. Elias remarked, "There's a bridge ahead." "We can collapse it behind us if we can cross it." They came to a precarious wooden bridge that crossed a deep gorge. Zara was swiftly led across by Elias, who took her hand. The shadows extended to the chasm's edge halfway across. They jumped onto the bridge in pursuit without hesitation. "Go on!" Elias yelled as he took a tiny explosive out of his pack.

Retribution of the Roar

Retribution of the Roar

They lived in a place where everything is concrete so a slight look of underdevelopment was enough to scare them off. The others followed until only him and Maryan remained. Lidon offered his hand. He needed his role to be as natural as possible. Maryan stared at his hand before she realized what he meant for them to do. “Oh, thank you,” she said as she took his hand and they walked on the shaking bridge, the waters hissing below them. Gratefully, the new guerilla fighters didn’t think of cutting the ropes of the bridge. It was not a baseless speculation. The bridge was almost to the point of destruction so he wouldn’t be surprised if it was designed to kill them. But then, even as Lidon and
