Journey Through the Shadow Realms

Journey Through the Shadow Realms

He took a deep breath and sprinted forward to catch up with his companions. The stones that made up the bridge were already eroded and covered with moss, making them slippery and dangerous. Eldion took care where to place his feet as he tried to keep up with the fast pace set by his companions. They soon made it past the fallen tree that partially blocked the path and Eldion was awed when he got a full view of the walls and towers that made up what looked like an ancient temple city. There were huge trees that had grown over the walls, its roots like giant fingers clutching the stone structures. It seemed that they were about to enter a vast complex of ruins that was in the process of being

Bite Me Harder, Alpha

Bite Me Harder, Alpha

Rowena’s voice cuts sharply through the group communication channel. Hold your positions! Protect the bunkers! Sienna, whatever you still have left, use it now! Then I hear my mother’s voice. Softer. More urgent. As if the words from her old journals have suddenly come alive inside my head. My brave daughter… The Bridge is more than power. It is connection. Let them in. All of them. Then a third voice emerges. Kali. The name rises from the stories my mother used to tell me about the First Bridge Bearers.

Shattered Bonds

Shattered Bonds

Hera turns her head and gives him a nod before moving quietly forward. The bridge looks like an old wooden bridge that’s barely standing. Many of the planks are missing and she will have to be careful not to fall into the water below. She peaks over the side of the cliff and sees an enormous looking man, snoring loudly, his chin on his chest. She looks on the other side and sees another huge man, laying on his side, looking like boulders, instead of a person. With every exhale he makes, he sends waves pushing out into the river. “Slow and steady wins the race, Hera.” Buppig says in her ear.

Destined (Book #4 in the Vampire Journals)

Destined (Book #4 in the Vampire Journals)

The small, golden bridge went up in an arch and came down the other side. She ran across it, and underneath her, she saw the crystal clear water, glowing blue. She crossed the bridge, about to enter the city, and her father appeared again, at the entrance to the city gates. He stood just on the other side, and as she ran for him, there suddenly appeared two immense doors, freestanding, in the middle of the street, blocking her way.

Keeper Of A Warlord’s Heart

Keeper Of A Warlord’s Heart

The other fled towards him. "Do not come any closer, my son!" Aefstine said. "The bridge will not hold us all." He did it anyway. He ran to his mamkka, and it was Randal who held him down. The giant Zaff, still bloodied and almost dead, walked the bridge towards Aefstine. The weight wouldn't hold. Aefstine tried to cross to the other direction, but when the giant fell to his knees halfway through, the bridge broke.

A Love Too Close

A Love Too Close

"I'm really happy to see that." "Can we go to the bridge now?" Sophia asked. "One last time before we leave tomorrow?" "Yeah," Grey said. "Let's go." We took an Uber to the Golden Gate Bridge just as the sun was beginning its descent and the bridge was glowing in the fading afternoon light with the sky going pink and orange above it and the water below catching all of it. Sophia jumped out of the car and immediately ran ahead to the pedestrian path with her phone already out, absorbed completely in finding the right light, and Grey and I walked behind her slowly, side by side, not quite touching.

Her Men Of Ruin

Her Men Of Ruin

In that same second, it explodes directly on Ziason, but also strikes far and wide that some buildings in small yule and big yule start collapsing, followed by people’s wails. The bridge isn’t spared either. In one slash, it divides into several parts, sinking deep into the sea. The latter drowns the cars, as well as people passing the bridge. Neither Heaven nor Ziason are an exception. Elastic Hearts (Sia) – The truth, after pleasure

SEVER ZERO

SEVER ZERO

They were approaching the Sector Boundary Bridge—the massive, double-decked suspension bridge that connected the wealthy, glittering Sector 4 to the industrial hellscape of Sector 5. Below the bridge, a thousand feet down, was the "Dead Zone"—a tangle of rusted pipes, fog, and forgotten infrastructure that led down to the Undercity. "Maya," Ren said, his voice calm, betraying none of the terror screaming in his chest. "Do you trust me?" She looked at him. She looked at the terrified man who had bought her a castle and then burned it down in the middle of the night. She saw the blood from his nose drying on his lip.

The Dragon King's Claim

The Dragon King's Claim

The bridge shifted. No longer just a glowing seam in the sky. No longer a fragile connection barely holding two worlds together. The light condensed. Solidified. And then— A pathway appeared. A literal road of silver light stretching from the amphitheater across the sky toward the distant horizon of the human realm. The bridge was no longer an opening. It was a crossing. Stable. Steady. Alive. Gasps rose from the soldiers around the amphitheater as they stared at the glowing structure spanning the heavens.

Blood of the Black Moon

Blood of the Black Moon

“Looks abandoned.” “Nothing this ordered dies quietly.” They crossed the first bridge. The wood was warm underfoot, humming with faint energy that made the hair on Zevran’s arms stand up. He eyed the pools below. “You sure that’s water?” “No.” “Fantastic.” The bridge led them into a wide avenue lined with statues—men and women with serene expressions, hands raised toward a ceiling they could never see. Each had a shallow bowl carved into the palms, filled with faintly glowing liquid. When Kaelira passed, the light in the nearest bowl brightened.
