It’s just so painful to watch Queen Leia mourn for her daughter’s death. Queen Leia screamed and refused to believe that her daughter died. “Al, please tell me that my Alexa is alive. She couldn’t just die. She won’t leave me. Alexa promised me she’ll stay alive no matter what. If this is just a dream, please wake me up from this nightmare. I’m begging you! Please!” she cried as tears streaming down on her face nonstop like a river. Losing her daughter terrified her the most.

Lucia trailed behind, a smirk painted across her lips as she gestured mockingly at the scorched remains of what had been Serena’s pyre. Serena felt the fire flare in her chest, hotter, hungrier. Rage and survival intertwined, fusing into something raw, pure, unstoppable. She stepped forward, careful, silent, a shadow among shadows. Her first movement made a twig snap, and she froze. The scouts turned, eyes widening at the ghost they did not yet recognize. Serena’s hands lifted instinctively, the flames answering her unspoken command.

I tremble even more than the cold water is now pooling on my feet while I watch Wyatt’s wide eyes locked on me. My trembling hands point the gun at Luke, and he smiles at me. They both stand up and Luke places his hands up in front of his chest. “You’re not going to do this Blake, you’re my sister, Leia would never forgive you,” Luke says and at the same time the door opens and The Reaper walks in. His mask is shaking wet and so are his clothes. The gun pointing at Luke and I take a deep breath.

I was not going to make that mistake of taking my eyes off her again. I called to Yara to give me strength. Although I still felt the warm embrace of rage throbbing all over me. My nose was filled with the smell of wet earth, rain and a deep forest. Iran was lurking at the back of my mind, I did not even understand how it was possible but I could feel his rage-filled gaze on me— I could feel his wrath in my core. I took my fighting stance and waited for Leia to attack. She sensed my change in demeanor and hesitated a bit as she watched me. Her short hesitation helped me focus more on my wolf core. She scoffed and lunged with a powerful right hook.

I wonder if all rogues act like they're a little wrong in the head. Our attention snapped back on the front when someone harrumphed. Almost all the girls groaned, and almost all the boys lean in attention. "Greetings! I'm Felicia Filicitus Faulkner, I'm 14 years old, a beautiful gray wolf and I'm from the Southwoods!" She started tinkering with her long hair. "I'd love to be friends with all of you, you should feel honored, I mean this is an invitation from someone who is the strongest candidate to become Luna!"

The meeting finally concluded. It was already early morning by the time they left the banquet hall. The elders dispersed one by one, but Sophia lingered. "Liam," she approached him, her hand resting lightly on his shoulder. "Are you really okay? Do you need to rest a bit?" "I'm fine," Liam said, trying to ignore his inner turmoil. Just then, his phone vibrated. He instinctively picked it up, and Selena's email greeted his eyes. The moment he saw it, his face changed.

I felt like a feather and calm as the eye of a storm. Adrian appeared. He flashed me his boyish grin and winked at me. I chuckled. “Stay away from the lakes,” he teased. I chuckled. “Stay away from Scarlett,” I teased back. He nodded. We passed a knowing look. Two friends, like a brother and sister. I loved him and he knew and he loved me and I knew it. Then he was gone, into the abyss. Next came Astrid. She appeared like Caleb and Scarlett, from the darkness. She was dressed in her warrior gear. She looked brilliant, strong. She locked eyes with me and smiled. “You are a warrior,” she said. “Never forget that.” Then she nodded.
