THIS TIME
Relief and hope mixed ignite in me when the man, who sounds friendly over the phone, tells me that I'm the fifth person who's called and that he would be ready to meet me tomorrow afternoon, right around lunch time.
I didn't mind that at all, as long as I went to that interview and actually nail the job.
By the end of the call, I was floating on air at how things just turned around. I was literally disappointed and sad moments ago, but now I'm floating on air. It's crazy.
I thank God for this moment.
I glance at Jane, who stands behind the counter, busy talking to the waiters. When she turns my way and our eyes meet, I smile and hold up my thumbs.
