She hated how that made her lips twitch. Just a little.
She didn’t know how it happened, but somewhere in that haze of long study nights, side comments, and half-shared jokes, she started to look forward to seeing him. Her body reacted before her mind could reason—it leaned slightly when he was near, it caught the scent of his cologne even when the library was full.
He noticed things. When her energy dipped. When her eyes stopped scanning the pages. When she chewed on her lower lip like she was overthinking something.
