Chapter 30 But before Laura could even start her car's engine, a sleek silver Porsche Taycan suddenly pulled over just in front of hers. The futuristic, low-slung design instantly caught her attention, its polished exterior gleaming under the morning sun. She watched, curious, wondering why this stunning car had stopped by their house. The car door swung open, and to her surprise, a familiar man stepped out, his bright blue hair instantly recognizable. "Wait... Quinn?!" Laura chuckled, immediately getting out of her car to meet the man with the flashy blue hair and ear studs.

She squeezed him so tight, Taurus’s heart fluttered at her warm touch. Taurus chuckled lightly. “It will take more than a silver whip to kill the great Taurus,” he puffed his chest and Miranda sunk her face into his fur some more. Taurus used his snout to push her back. “You must let go now. I have to go to the forefront now.”

Lena guided Tarzan out of the hotel, his heavy arm draped across her shoulders for support. They descended into the underground parking garage, where rows of luxury cars gleamed beneath the sterile fluorescent lights. She pressed the unlock button, and an expensive-looking black car chirped in response. Hurrying to the driver's side, she stopped abruptly. "Oh..." She looked back at him. "Mr Silver, you should sit there." Tarzan stared at her for another long, unreadable second before silently making his way to the passenger door. He folded himself into the seat with a low grunt, his long legs barely fitting, then turned his face toward the window without a word.

Damien rolled down his window at that threat. “Hello, friend,” he said smoothly, “That won’t be necessary today. We are on our way to Silver Tower, and I can make a quick call to sort this out.” Damien pulled a flat rectangular screen about the size of my hand from a concealed space next to him. “And, as I’m sure you know, silver only works on wolves from the South, not the North. It would sting and make us angry…” he trailed off.

The metal scent is threaded with something that makes my gums ache. Silver. My temper snaps so fast it feels like a whip crack. “Someone’s being brave,” I murmur. “Silver?” Tarek’s voice goes tight. “Silver,” I confirm. “Which means they didn’t come here to rob traders. They came here to kill wolves.” His eyes narrow. “Or to send a message.” “Exactly,” I say, and nudge Chaos forward at a walk. The bend opens up into a small clearing where the road widens. A cart sits crooked on its side, one wheel snapped clean off. Blood darkens the dirt beneath it.

Pakin’s P.O.V “That’s him, isn't it?” I narrowed my eyes at the silver 2020 Porsche 911 GT3 RS parked in the shadows of the stadium parking lot. “Chai.” One of my closest male friends, Tew, nodded in agreement. His gaze, too, was fixated on the luxury supercar. I couldn’t blame him; it was a pretty sweet ride, though I wasn’t all too impressed, considering I had one of my own.

Strength she shouldn’t have. Gus reached into his shirt and pulled out a thin gold chain. A teardrop ruby pendant caught the filtered light and burned like a drop of blood. Kaela’s breath stopped. She knew that necklace. He placed it in her open palm. She turned it over. The engraving on the back was exactly as she remembered. **ARGENTUM LUNA.** Silver Moon. “Where did you get this?” Her voice came out thin. “Auction,” Gus said lightly. “Fancy one. Didn’t bid for it myself, of course.”

Tyr picked up one dagger, making sure he’s holding the leather part of it – careful not to touch the silver. “Looks familiar?” his deep voice softly uttered. Zane’s brows slightly creased and immediately gasped when he remembered something. “Oh! I saw that from the first one we saw. So, are you using that to kill the rogues?” “We hunt them, but we don’t kill. Silver inflicts wounds in werewolves. I guess you know why we use this.” Tyr swiftly turned the sharp edge towards him and let Zane hold the dagger. “Because silver is the Luna’s metal,” Zane recalled from the book he read.

If Silver were to define psychopath, his name would pop out of his mouth. Thousands of men were marching at the front and a few hundred men followed after, with three huge wagons carrying something eerie, inside some kind of transparent vessel. An uneasy feeling passed through Silver's gut just by looking at it. The wagons were being pulled by Pyromuthus. A massive elephant-like magical beast with massive twisted tusks. They had rough fiery-red skin. A single twisted horn protruded from its head. And more horns lined its back from its neck to tail.
