POV: Charlotte I waited. He sat across from me with the phone between us, his hands resting on either side of it. His gaze stayed on the table, following one of the faint lines in the wood without really seeing it. I let the silence breathe, listening to the refrigerator hum behind me and the soft ticking of the clock on the wall. “Who is Sebastian Blackwood?” I asked at last. He looked up. “My half brother.” The words were simple. Matter-of-fact.

“You think this is over? You’ve only broken the lock. The thing beneath the Black Moon stirs, child. And it remembers your name.” Kaelira’s blood ran cold. “No,” she whispered. “The Echo was the last of it. I destroyed it.” “You destroyed its shell,” Varyn said. “But its heart — the true Black Moon — was never in this world to begin with. It’s waiting. And it’s calling you home.” Zevran stepped forward. “Then we’ll burn your god a second time.” Varyn’s expression softened, almost pitying. “You can’t fight the storm, boy. You can only drown in it.”

The mysterious first brother always wears a black hoodie with 'D' at the back. All the gang members have 'D' printed in silver, whereas second brother has it in purple and first brother in golden. They have only one rule 'no harm to innocent' or else face them. Mind games, both the brothers were excellent in playing with mind. Simple torture of them starts from one's mental breakdown. Direct death was something they don't know, slow painful deaths is their specialty.

They are pleading with me to stop; the layers of emotions brewing in her golden flecks are enough to show that she cares about me. “Don’t move.” I turn towards Logan, and he stops.
