Mike stood in the doorway, arms crossed over his chest, his expression unreadable. “You can take off that mask of yours, Xender,” he said, his tone dripping with irritation. “I still don’t understand why you bother wearing it.”

XANDER POV I was holding my little mate in my arms and the strongest wave of lust rushed through me and I felt her pull away slowly. She looked up to me and then asked to talk to Cody alone. They left and I was alone with Steven the brother and black, I hate black and I have no ill feeling towards Steven. I walked over to black to get a clear sense of his loyalty. Xander- are you really with us ? Black- why do you hate me?

Who was this guy? “I’m Xavier Blackwood” he responds. I read through his mind but could only get the fact that he wanted to know me out from him. He seems to know how to shield his thoughts.

I speak loud enough for everyone to hear me, “You all know who I am. I am Phoenix Black, son of Xavier Black. There are some things you might not know that will be crucial to know moving forward. Xavier Black is dead.”

He asked while bending down and smiled at them. "Who are you mister?" Layla asked him. "I am a wolf in disguise…" said Mr Black and Adrianna squinted her eyes. Suddenly, she felt a similarity in him and the wolf she saw but she shrugged that thought off. "Just joking, i am your mommy's friend, Xavier Black." His eyes went upto Adrianna's and locked. "Come, we will have ice cream together." Xavier got up and the kids seemed happy. "Mr Black, it's not required. You might have work to focus on. I will take them from here" Adrianna out her hands on her kid's shoulder.

Sirius frowned and said to his assistant, “Bring the special drugs over.” His assistant was stunned for a moment before he realized what Sirius meant. He said fearfully, “We can’t, Dr. Xander. Mr. Xander said that since doctors can’t treat themselves, he bought that drug for you. It’s to save you if you run into danger in the future—” “Enough talk. Drugs are made to save lives. Bring it over!” The assistant had never heard Sirius adopt such a stern voice before. Since the situation was critical, he could only obey orders.
