The air around him shifted, pulsing with barely restrained fury.
"Don't you dare," he growled, voice dark and trembling with restrained violence.
He knew his sister's death was on him; he didn't need Iver to tell him that.
But Iver only scoffed, his lips curling. "The truth hurts, doesn't it? But you can't deny it. Chieftain Julius died a traitor for helping Dr West, that filthy human scum, in exchange for saving his daughter!"
"Enough," Orion snarled, his voice reverberating through the walls. His eyes flashed between gold and storm-grey, and the raw energy in the room made even the guards tremble in their boots.
