Skeleton Soldier Novel Novels & Stories

The city, once teetering on the brink of annihilation, could be transformed into an impregnable fortress, a sanctuary for its people. The next day, the battlefield wore a new, chilling aspect. The monstrous corpses, stripped of their flesh by the relentless scavengers of the night, lay scattered like bleached bones across the ravaged landscape. Each skeleton, a testament to the ferocity of the battle, was a monumental task to move. It took the combined strength of two men to lift a single ribcage, and thousands of these skeletal giants had to be hauled and transported to the warehouse of the Merchant Association.

Slashing it down, the girl's blood soaked the streets, but it was soon absorbed by the sword the skeleton wielded in his hand. The sword glowed a bright crimson color as the skeleton jaw clacked together in attempted laughter, as he felt his body empowered by the woman's blood. Such horrendous sights were happening all over the capital of Lunaris. People's petrifying screams rang out even as the knights of Lunaris bravely wielded their weapons to defend their people.

Another soldier, older, added hoarsely, “It didn’t last long. They screamed once, maybe twice. And then they… dried out. There was no blood, no flesh. Just bones left behind, like something had hollowed them out from the inside.” The words sank into me, cold and heavy. I looked down again at the bones. There was no blood on the floor. No stench of rot. It was just as though the bones adn clothes had been brought her as it was instead of the two alive men who were brought here for an investigation. My anger flared, sharp and immediate, but underneath it was something I rarely allowed myself to feel. Dread. This wasn’t the work of a knife or poison. This wasn’t even cruelty in the way I unders

“If it comes to choosing between you and that child, I’ll choose you. Even if you hate me for it.” The words ripped something open in me. Love twisted with terror until I couldn’t tell one from the other. Before I could answer, a scream tore through the corridor outside—high, raw, endless. The kind of scream that only comes when someone sees the impossible. We both turned as the door slammed open. A soldier stumbled in, face white as bone, eyes wide with madness. “It’s here,” he gasped, blood bubbling at his lips. “The Bone Seer walks the halls.”

Skeletal dragons were flying all over the sky, creating a looming shadow across the desert as if clouds were passing by. The soldiers in the desert already had their hands full with the zombies and skeletons. When the bone dragons came, it was just utter chaos. Black flames were spewed out of the dragons’ mouth and they also engaged in a melee against the soldiers. The average soldiers could not even land a hit on the dragons and the army was slowly being pushed back. The zombies and skeletons advanced behind the bone dragons.

Lucifer started speaking some strange language and his blood that was mixed with Rae, entered the whole skeletons. The skeletons eyes which showed nothing before started showing black. They are alive. Their wings made of bones spurt out from their backs. One of the skeletons came down to meet Lucifer. Kneeling down. "He is not here with us." "Yes, his bones are not yet complete. But do not worry, you will not be needing him anymore, because I am now your new master."

Morry, ever deadly, twirled her daggers absentmindedly, her eyes sparkling with anticipation and mischief. Then the agony began. My bones shifted, stretched, and cracked in ways that felt both terrifying and liberating. My blood burned like molten gold, coursing with a fire I had never known. And then I saw her. In the nearby lake, rippling like liquid crystal, was her reflection - my dragon. Wait, what? I have a dragon?!?!?!?!

The wolf barely flinched, spinning around to rip the rifle from the shooter’s hands. "They are bulletproof," Dr. Aris Thorne’s voice crackled over my secure radio, thick with disbelief. She was monitoring the perimeter feeds from the safety of the Throne Room. "Elara, the kinetic dispersal of their mutated skeletons is absorbing the impact. It is a total tactical slaughter." "Silas will not rely on bullets for long," I replied, keeping my eyes on the shifting battlefield. "He knows the anatomy of the mountain. He will target the resonance." My prediction materialized a fraction of a second later.

Then another figure stepped from the shadow of an archway beside it. And another. Lyra’s pulse stumbled. The missing kings. All of them. The corpses jerked forward like puppets pulled by tangled strings. Rusted armor clattered against desiccated bone. One still wore heavy gold bands on skeletal fingers; another dragged a broken jaw that swung loosely against its chest. The servant screamed. The dead kings charged. Chaos tore through the crypt. Guards surged forward, steel clashing against ancient iron. One of the corpse kings slammed a soldier full-force into a stone pillar, the impact echoing like a thunderclap as bone gave way.
