Evangeline and Emma were miles away in the human world. “The signal is getting louder,” Lucien warned, the monitors beginning to hiss with static. “The first wave is at the ridge. It’s a pack of ‘Skinned-Walkers’ from the north - they’ve been tracking the resonance since the Hub went down.” Xander looked at the Prism. The crystal let out a low, dissonant chime, a sound that felt like a challenge. The temporary peace of the last two weeks was over. They had broken the "Hush," but in doing so, they had invited the storm.

The large gang of riders and drivers they had brought with them filled the small street and once the engines had been cut, a deafening silence filled the sticky air. “Gabriel Grayson, Alpha of the infamous renegades, it’s good to see you again.” Dynamite Al dismounts from his bike, the short chubby half-wolf grins and greets me. “Your boys tell me you got some trouble. I didn’t believe it at first because you are the trouble.”

Not everyone abided by these laws and it was difficult to enforce as Silvercreek was in the middle of several national forests, camping, and hiking trails, but still, Maggie and the rest of the enforcers tried to make visitors follow the rules. “I’m Seth Blackthorn from the Nightshade pack. We’re located in Providence, Colorado.” He nodded to Maggie while parking his butt on the stool. She heard of the Nightshades, and just like their name, their members were cautiously avoided. Maggie was not elated that one of them dropped by for a visit. She had heard that theirs was a pack with rules steeped in the olden days, and they did not take lightly to wolves leaving their group. “State your busin

Carie spoke in a low tone in my mind, I could feel her tail wagging anxiously. “What do you mean? What the fuck is that?” I asked again, feeling agitated all of a sudden. “It's a skinwalker. They were dark creatures who were locked away from the face of the earth by the magic of the moon and the powers of the Moon Goddess.” My eyes widened in horror as I heard Carie. I was confused before because I was definitely not expecting to see a skinwalker in my life time, or until the doom was among our world.

“Dylan will be fine,he dosent take things to heart” “Let’s get to the car”,Sophia said and we walked out of the woods to where my car was parked. “We should g****e what skinwalkers do and all”,Sophia said as she pulled out her phone. She read it; skinwalkers can control the minds of their victims. They are said to be able to manipulate people's thoughts and actions, and they can even possess people's bodies. This ability to control people's minds and bodies makes skinwalkers particularly dangerous.

“Skinwalkers are ancient shifters, rare, made by the coupling of ancient magic and a god who can transform. The books tell us that a Skinwalker is only born once every thousand years. Even then it is rare for one to be conceived.” Tawny takes the book from me, opening it she thumbs through the pages, and halts. Her eyes scanned the page she stopped on. “It says Skinwalkers have the ability to transform into any living creature animal or human?” She reads but ends the quote with a question and looks up at me. “That’s not what I am,” I reply seeing her search my eyes for an answer, wondering if there is more to me than she has alr

He would kill Armando with his bare hands. Hunter didn't know how he spent the next five days in the warehouse. There was only one thing on his head. No matter what, he had to get his Silvia back. And for her, he'd do any f*cking thing. After a devastating week, he was informed that Armando with his six men was on the move. He was heading somewhere. This was the first time he stepped out of his rogue pack. Hunter had heard about this rogue pack a long before. The pack of ruthless rogues who slaughtered people and stole from them. The kingdom had sent a troop to kill these rogues but they all ended up dying.

But the girl still looked around warily to avoid surprises. Having gone deeper into the forest along the path, Anika suddenly heard a plaintive whine. Having determined where it was coming from, she discovered a dog that looked like a shepherd nearby near one of the trees. And she froze, afraid that she might attack, but the dog remained in place and whined pitifully again.

They exchanged a nervous glance, prepared for whatever awaited them. Out of the shadows emerged a figure—a being that seemed to embody both human and animal characteristics. Its eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and its form shifted and morphed as if it were made of liquid. "Tiffany, Hailey," a voice echoed in their minds. "Welcome to Terrasia, the realm of the skinwalkers." The figure stepped forward, revealing a tall woman with wild, flowing hair and a calm yet powerful presence. She wore a cloak adorned with feathers and symbols, marking her as a guardian of Terrasia.

Drax, made from wild fungi and ethanol, was banned within the city limits but could be legally purchased and consumed in the Drock. Mother’s message was particularly relevant today, as my age now permitted me entry. Her second message was not to take unnecessary risks on the ice peaks I planned to climb, a message she knew I always ignored. The third was one I had received continually since my early childhood: “Skye, do not, under any circumstances, exercise your powers and bring attention to yourself.” I had asked why many times, only to receive the same answer. “Because I forbid it.” Or, as I grew older, “Because we have a special ability that can be dangerous and must be concealed.”
