I rub the rocks with my thumb, and I can see they are very pretty, “Thank you, Ryan. This one here is rose quartz, and the other is Fairburn Agate. I’ll clean them up, and you won’t believe how pretty they will be.” His eyes widen, “Really! Can you show me?” I chuckle, “Yes, no problem, I will show you soon, OK.” He’s a mini version of his father. He’s a little older than Easton and at least two, maybe three years older than the twins.

An obsidian stone is inside my seal, and the guards fall over themselves to let us inside once they know who I am. The wall is ridiculously tall, made of thick, reinforced steel. I crane my neck back, move my hair back to see it all. The portly guard pulls a lever, and a portion of it lowers. Clunky and groaning, the ice flys out, the gate forcing its way open. The gate lowers completely, warm water slowly trickles out, and the inside of Estate Eclipse is steaming. I grab onto Dante and he helps me past the blocks of ice until we cross the other side of the gate.

Stella cried out, her mood soured. Skye sprung out of the door, hoping to catch up to him, but he was already nowhere in sight. Now, she was utterly mortified. There was no way Ruby would ever pass up a chance to exercise her vindictive nature. Like a veteran in the art of schadenfreude, she unleashed a flurry of caustic bite-backs, mimicking the kind of jeering Stella and Skye had done just earlier.

Skyla is the only one to go out on a regular basis; she goes to school, to friend’s house and church in the Wind Community. After disposing of Solomon, Kariya went on to search for the Fusion gate, but instead found the Tsunami sword. Discovering the swords power, he wreaked havoc on the Earth Metal nation, flooding the nation causing them to lose homes and jobs. He did this to the Oceana and Solarian nations, causing problems for both. He also took john Tanner’s wife and used her to get information on Skyla and the Fusion gate and its abilities.

"You still think Skye's just some regular programmer?" Edward's tone was sharp with disbelief. "She's a top-tier hacker I managed to bring back through old connections! Letting her date you back then was me doing you a favor." Julian froze for several seconds, stunned speechless. When he finally found his voice again, it was full of incredulity. "Her?!" "Yes, her!" Edward barked, his patience gone. "Skye was the best match I could've arranged for you, and look what you've done! You went and got another woman pregnant—what a disgrace!"

I didn't have the energy to climb up and back down, but I could help him make his way to me. After a few minutes, I heard the click clack of claws on stone. His steps were slow, deliberate as he did his best not to fall, but finally, Skye entered the little cavern. “It's a talus cave.” He said as he collapsed at my side, dropping the little bundle of his clothes. “What does that mean?” I asked and started to gently groom the back of Skye's neck and behind his ears. “A talus cave is formed by falling rocks. It's kind of a luck of the draw thing.” He said. Heaving a huge tired sigh, Skye curled up and quickly fell asleep.

Gemma unpacked everything and looked around. Skye immediately started running to the rock-pools and waved her arms excitedly to get Gemma's attention. "Mommy, Mommy, come and look! There're fish and sea-stars here! Uncle Grant, come and look! It's so beautiful!" Skye started bubbling as Gemma and Grant walked over to her. Gemma has the strong urge to take his hand but decided against it.

Neo’s POV Sitting at my desk, my mind is consumed by the image of Skyler, completely engulfed in those Scarabs she fondly referred to. It's astonishing how she fearlessly caressed them, treating them as harmless creatures, before they obediently scurried away from her and disappeared into the earth. It's as if they hold no threat, no potential for danger or death. This scene continues to play in my mind, leaving me both fascinated and perplexed by Skyler's unwavering trust in these seemingly treacherous insects.

She turned back to the lights, trying to focus. An hour later, they were both done with the work. Skye’s nerves were still frayed. She volunteered to take out the cardboard unwanted boxes from the decorations to trash them, needing a moment alone. She stepped outside, the recycling bin at the edge of the compound glinting under the streetlights as she pulled the boxes across the frost-dusted grass. Her breath puffed out in white clouds, and she shivered, wishing she’d grabbed a heavier coat to wear before stepping outside.

As I was scrolling I saw a post about one of our friends, Rozz. Hmmm so he's going back. We are not close but we are not that distant either. I guess that's right, troops are like that. Not that I don't like him but there is something really in him. He was creepy when it came to Cassandra, if he acted it was as if he owned her. I told Cassandra that but what can I expect from a woman who has never seen the real world? When I scrolled again I was momentarily stunned to see the unexpected person in my feed.
