The Afterglow of Malice ​Jennifer’s POV ​The storm broke the moment we crossed the threshold of the villa. ​The tropical sky had turned the color of a bruised plum while we were on the mountain, and by the time the heavy timber doors of our pavilion shut behind us, the sky unburdened itself. Rain sheeted down in solid, deafening walls, obliterating the view of the canyon and turning the open-air edges of the suite into a gray, misty blur.

Her voice announced their presence as he took his gaze off the screen. "Research," he replied, fixing his gaze back on the screen. Audrey narrowed her brow. "You are researching hot guys. Are you planning to turn into a hot guy because Ixora rejected you?" Audrey asked. Skye flickered her forehead. "Stop spewing trash." Audrey shrugged. "Just saying," she sat on the table. "Blake, what exactly are you searching for?" Skye asked. "A person who has the scent of obsidian veil," he replied.

“I gave it to my brother, he would be able to handle it.” Seb nodded in understanding and said nothing more. “Where's Scar?” “Upstairs, in her bedroom. She is mad at me again.” Seb sulked and Skye raised a brow this time. “Again? What did you do?” “Well, she asked me to take her somewhere which I would never let her go.” Skye blinked in confusion, “Where’s that? “To see a Volcano eruption.” “The fuck?!” Skye bursted out laughing as he heard that. He laughed so hard that Seb glared at him.

• SAVED EVERYONE ~NATHAN I stared at our monolith in awe. Half of it was green, while the other half was the usual red I knew it to be. I slowly approached it and made to touch it when sizzling energy shot out and sent me flying to the other side. "Nathan!" I heard Rainbow scream. That was when I stood up and saw that the cave and all the people who had been in it were still intact. The field where Vaella's ruins had been was now what I was standing on. I looked beyond and saw the crystal castle where Nineveh lived.

She tried to absorb as much information as she could see, facts and images to report back to Alan to confirm that goblins would not be a threat despite their supposed alliance. Before Scar could stare for too long, Damon tugged Scar toward an ancient stone staircase that she hadn't seen before. They went down deeper into the city, through the bustling Wolves activity. Some were laying the foundation for a new building by hand, others were sharpening spears, and she glimpsed the edge of a market where wolves bartered fish for strawberries. Other wolves were fighting in the arena, and a group of them were playing what looked like a game of football, except the players were wielding torches.

She squinted her eyes. *gasp*... A person? Damn is that another? She asked as her eyes widened. She pointed at them in the sky. They were moving incredibly fast. She saw flashes of lights from the figures in the sky. A bright light was going from one towards the other while the other person dodged and raised a counter attack, sending a red beam of light. It was like watching a movie for Mia. Everything seemed so when she suddenly realized that they were fighting. Right above her head a fight was going on. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.
