"Because you'll be there. Won't you?" Dante stared at me for a long moment, conflict clear in his eyes. Finally, he nodded. "I'll be there. But you follow my lead. If I say run, you run. Understood?" "Understood." Thirty minutes later, we stood at the border, surrounded by fifty of Dante's warriors. Across the clearing, the Nightshade Pack waited, their Alpha front and center. Kieran Nightshade was massive, even by wolf standards. Seven feet tall with silver hair and scars covering every inch of visible skin. His eyes were pure white—a sign of extreme power.

I pulled the small sphere from my coat, its surface glowing faint blue from the powder within. Manolya’s fingers brushed mine as I pressed it into her palm. “Keep this close. It is Nightshade. Use this to defend yourself. It’s Nightshade, and it will bring your enemies to their knees and paralyze your opponents. If you are a good girl and do it really well, they will also die while hallucinating. " She shivered. “It looks… dangerous.” “It is,” I said with a wicked smile. “So use it wisely.” The twins hovered behind, eyes wide with envy. “Why does she get something cool?” Adem blurted.

Wow… “Hey guys! Come on in and shut the door. This room is completely soundproofed, so there’s not a chance of anyone overhearing anything sensitive. I worked most of the night to redesign part of my encryption program to account for picking up on anything that deals with magic. There was a gifted wolf that Nightshade came across that was able to actually utilize people’s electronic devices to compel those people to things. She only did it because her sister was being threatened by a scumbag Alpha, but now they are both safe and sound at Nightshade.”

Kyra inquired with a steady voice, despite feeling fear gnawing at her. Rosa's gaze held a combination of urgency and sadness. The object is included in a bigger prediction. It's more than just a representation of our past; it's a tool for accessing great power. And some people will go to any lengths to acquire it. Damon. Damon's jaw clenched. "Who are these individuals? Why haven't they been brought to our attention previously?" Rosa clarified that they work behind the scenes, controlling events remotely. They are called the Nightshade Coven, a collection of sinister witches and warlocks who desire the potential the artifact can release. They have been seeking it for hundreds of years.

At their center, she stood with her head held high, as if she had already decided to end everything tonight. She didn’t dress like any royal I was used to seeing. Instead, she wore fitted assassin armor, dark enough to swallow moonlight, her golden hair braided back tightly, not a single strand out of place. A thin dagger shimmered faintly in her hand and even from a distance, I could see the oily sheen coating its sharp blade. Nightshade extract! One slight touch of that was enough to paralyze a wolf’s nerves within seconds. Seeing the group moving so quickly toward a specific direction, it was clear that their goal wasn’t the warriors or the borders. It was straight for the mansion—next to

“Wwell, it might be t-the same one... b-but humans are s-scary... I d-don't want to help!” The first one made a strange sound before it spoke swiftly to Vaughan now, he almost didn't catch every word, “pointy-horn will help your friend! So you shouldn't worry! The name's Nightshade. And that's Dewdrop. She's a mistcontroller! I'm assuming you know what that is! Oh, human, right? Do you know what that is? It's one of us who can do that!”

Caroline was thoroughly puzzled by his behavior, and she turned to Sean, seeking an explanation. Sean walked over to her and lowered his voice to enlighten her. "This is Nightshade, the person we were looking all over the place for. He made a bet with us. He said that he'd help us if we managed to catch him in three days without the use of technology." He added, "Kirk caught Nightshade on the second day, but that guy just doesn't wanna admit defeat." After getting captured, Nightshade kept saying that time wasn't up yet, and that the winner would only be revealed at midnight. He thought that Kirk would head out to help Caroline, who was in trouble, and wouldn't come back in time to win the b

"Either way, I'm done being afraid. Done being the substitute who lets others decide her fate." She walked to the glowing stone. Placed both hands on it. "I am Lyra Nightshade. Daughter of Elena and Marcus. Heir to the Shadowlands throne." Her voice grew stronger. "And if I carry Silver Court blood too, if I'm descended from the merger line, then I claim that as well. I claim all of it." The stone flared brilliant white. Power surged through her. Not painful, Awakening. Her wolf howled. But not with one voice, with two.
