I said. Tyler nodded eagerly and hurried out of the room, leaving me alone with Skylar. The silence between us was different. It felt heavy with things unsaid. Skylar didn't move. He just watched me, his thumb stroking the back of my hand in a slow, hypnotic circle. "You're staring," I said softly. "I thought I lost you," he replied. His voice was lower now, more intimate. "I thought the woman I loved was gone forever." "But she is gone, isn't she?" I asked, looking at the photo again. "I'm not that girl. I don't know her."

Connor continued to ask. "No…. I don't." Skylar did not want to face this question at all. Not only did she not want to answer it, she didn't want to listen to him. She tried to avoid facing the contents of her own mind. However, the man insisted on explaining this matter clearly, and wanted her to face it, too. "Skylar, I love you." Connor's voice reached her ears with the wind, earnest and affectionate. Yet Skylar panicked even more and she even wanted to escape from here. She stammered, "Why...? Why do you love me?"

If he can't love her then why make her fall in love with him? Hot tears dropped from her eyes, and her lips trembled in shock. It was as if her whole world came crushing to her face. She has grown to love him more than anything else in the world. She thought she could make him love her but she was wrong! While she is busy planning to please him, he is on thinking of servicing her! She watched her touching her husband before her with her legs wrapped tightly on his waist. Skylar's legs started shaking, she covered her mouth with her hand to control her sob. She ran her heels out of the mansion without a destination.

Her parents just like mine had a busy schedule because they are both lawyers and they own half of the law firms here in Seattle. "Mum wait, don't go. I think I got a plan." I said I didn't know about what the consequence of my actions will be, but I will do anything for the ones I love. "I will marry Christian in place of Emily. People will not recognize the difference between Emily and me." I said as looking at the tiled floor I will tell Christian everything after the wedding. I hope he understands me and forgives Emily.

Skylar and I burst into laughter so hard we nearly fell over. When it finally subsided, she leaned against me, still giggling. “Your life just got complicated.” “Yours too.” “I think I can handle it.” I kissed the top of her head. “Good. Because I’m not letting you run again.”

Her mind was a mess, and she was struggling on the inside. "Miss Debra, I'm not trying to make things hard for you on purpose. To be honest, I fell in love with you at first sight. At that time, I vowed to myself that I would make you mine no matter what. I don't care that you're already with Darryl. Don't worry. I won't force you to do anything you don't like if you stay beside me. I'll be happy as long as I get to see you every day. Promise me, okay?" Skylar said gently when he saw Debra's hesitation. His eyes were filled with sincerity.

"You what?" The words barely made it past my lips. My grip on the phone tightened until my knuckles ached. "You had it coming, Skylar." Ray's voice was cold — the kind of cold that had been building for months and I'd been too blind to notice. "I don't want a girlfriend who shows up when it's convenient. I don't want a girlfriend who crawls into bed smelling like deadlines and someone else's schedule. I needed you last night, and where were you?"

Feeling frustrated, she was about to go after him when Skylar entered their room and shut the door, her heart thumping loudly in her chest. “What’s the matter with you?” asked Hayley when she slumped to the bed. “Nothing, just that Christian will marry me after we return from here. I never expected it to happen so soon, Hails. He hasn’t even given me time to get to know him.” “It was inevitable, Skye, wasn’t it? Your family wanted that.” “But I don’t. I dreamed of falling in love with a tall, dark, and handsome guy and marrying him one day. But I’m stuck with a tall, fair as*hole who thinks no end of himself. I can’t love him, ever,” swore Skylar.

Just then, Charlie leaned over and whispered in his ear. "The new girl, she is beautiful, isn't she?" Charlie said. "Yeah, she is.'' Blake said. Charlie had also been staring at Amelia ever since she stepped into the class, he was also crushing on her already. "I think I like her. I'm walking up to her after class to let her know,'' Blake said. Charlie was surprised. Blake has never been known to like any girl in his life. Why did it have to be a girl he also liked?
