BLOODBOUND: The Wolf, The King and The Killer
My wolf senses sharpened, everything around me slowing down just enough for focus to take over.
I moved fast through the grounds, shooting and slashing at anything that wasn’t ours. They were southern assassins—no doubt. Their scent was thick, tainted with blood and metal. One lunged at me from behind a fallen beam, knife aimed for my throat. I twisted, slammed his arm against the wall, and drove my blade into his chest. He fell before he could even scream.
Another came charging, two more right behind him. I ducked low, swept one off his feet, and snapped his neck before throwing the other against the burning wall. The heat from the fire stung my skin, but I didn’t stop.
