Echoes of Ruin
We closed ourselves into a circle, and every one of us brought a hand to the center of the sigil, overlapping our dragonfire and moonlight, blood and spell-ink.
Nora spoke first, in a quiet, clear voice. “I vow to live up to what this school represents. Not just as a dragon, but as a protector. As a leader. As someone who remembers.”
“I vow,” Caelum’s jaw was set as he spoke, “to defend what we’ve done here. Even if that means defending it from ourselves.”
“I vow,” Lucien’s voice was quieter than the rest of us, his hand coming to rest firmly over the middle of the sigil, “to keep the secrets that should be kept, and share the ones that shouldn’t be.”
