I was so over this crap, I just wanted Charlie back in my arms, it was horrible with her being so far away “You are supposed to be my brother, do you not want to help me?” “It’s not that I don’t want to help, I just think we might be falling into a trap” Kayla comes quickly into the office carrying a large book, she looks flustered as she slams the open book down on the table sending bits of dust everywhere and making me cough. Kayla apologises and asks if we have heard about the one to rule them all. I look at Alexander and he looks just as puzzled as me “What do you mean the one to rule them all?”

The silent chuckle came first before the words as he turned the swivel chair around to face Reid, “I didn’t take you for a bootlicker.” “Speaking facts is what I do.” The man stands up from the dim edge he sits and walks around the table, into the sunlight. “Nice to meet you once again, I am…” “Alec Steele, I know. I don’t think I need to introduce myself, especially as you called me here.” Alec Steele is a man of average height, but he is said to have the missing height replaced by his impressive IQ and cognitive thinking. He is good looking and is sure to make women turn their heads his way, coupled with his confident and savvy nature, he is a perfect human male specimen?

Lex laughing while clapping his hands. "But the most corrupt politician." Lex continues with his insult to Senan. Senan didn't like what he just said and was starting to get mad by the words of Lex. "How about you Lex? You are the number one drug lord in the land. How good is that?" Senan exclaimed while his eyes was full of power to kill him but he tried to be calm. With those words that was heard by each Alpha's and the madness it brought to their ears. Just like the wolves that has a little patience in dealing their enemies. They quickly transform each other.

Hiram's eyes widened in shock, and he stammered, "How.... how did you come by such information, Alpha Jacob? That should be confidential, I think—" My response was sly and calculated as I leaned in close to my adviser. "Oh, Hiram. have my spies in and around Chester's pack house. I hear things, Hiram, even the whispers in the shadows. I know every single thing Chester thinks is secret. I know all!" The shock on Hiram's face was evident as he stammered, "But Alpha Jacob, I still think you should exercise caution. This could potentially lead to a war. Is one Luna worth all of these consequences? I mean, you just lost one Luna. I think you should—"

“And what would that have accomplished?” “He wouldn’t have gotten the satisfaction of seeing you flustered.” I frowned. “I wasn’t flustered.” Alec arched a brow, his expression unreadable behind the faint reflection of city lights in his glasses. “You clenched your cup so hard I thought it would shatter.” I exhaled sharply, sinking back into my seat. “I just… wasn’t expecting him. And the things he said—” “He’s an idiot,” Alec cut in smoothly. “And an opportunist. He saw an opening and took it.”

Alex When we arrive back at the truck, Natasha bends, stretching her legs and I realize what a mistake I made. I was trying to be polite by leading the way when what I really should have been doing was watch her lead so I could stare at that fine ass on the way down. No, then I would have had to walk down with this boner that is rapidly filling my thoughts and any extra room I once thought I had in my pants. The bottom of my jeans are covered with mud from a puddle I slid into on the way down and I’m just thankful it was me who hit that slick spot so Natasha didn't get hurt. That would be a sure fire way to hang a big loser sign on a first date that so far seems to have gone pretty damn goo

Alec asked. Rolling my eyes, I pointed at the book on the stand. Most guys wanted to see my work before they agreed to anything. I was used to it but still annoyed me. Alec took a few minutes and flipped through the pages. I have always been able to read people extremely easy. Colt said it was because I was an Alpha Female. Either way, Alec was mysterious, and dangerous yes but not at the same time.

"The book looks appealing to the eyes until you touch it." Amelia's eyes widened in horror and she quickly stepped back. She remained like that as she was too afraid to touch anything. "Why do you have such a dangerous book in your library?" She asked Cara. "I don't know, it belongs to Alphaeus and I've never bothered to ask him why he has such a book," Cara said nonchalantly. 'Tsk,' Amelia hissed under her breath. Cara returned holding a gigantic book and she found Amelia still rooted to her spot.

I watch them as they leave and then start to think of what to do about this demon alpha. To start I took the book Alec was reading, I need to know about this man. I discovered that all they were saying about him is just like an assumption. No one knew exactly how he moves. "He's such a mysterious being," I said to myself.
