Smell Blood In Nose Novels & Stories

I reached up to rub the back of my neck and my hand came away with something on it. I looked at my fingers. Then I stood and went to the bathroom and looked at the mirror and the mirror showed me what my shirt had already been showing me without my noticing, the dark staining at the collar that had the specific colour of something that had been coming from somewhere on my face. I tilted my head back slightly and the nosebleed that had apparently been running for some time made itself fully known.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

She immediately turned around but couldn't find anything or anyone in front of her. Suddenly her nostrils got filled with the metallic smell of blood, which immediately clenched her stomach and made her feel like throwing up. That smell seemed extremely bad and intolerable to her. I guess it was my doctor's side feeling bad for a patient. I mean, besides I was sent here to take care of him, so it had to be it. I followed the sound, inching forward. The air suddenly felt heavier, thicker—like the walls themselves were holding their breath. Or maybe it was just me. I was still moving forward when a smell hit me—a sharp metallic smell. Blood. I could recognize it any. My nose scrunched instinctively. “Oh, ew,” I whispered, waving the air as if that would help. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”

I removed the towel from my nose, but blood continued to run, so I quickly covered it again. A sudden urge to sneeze held me, and I knew this was bad. I stood up and walked away from the table, my hand securing the towel around my nose. I sneezed hard, and felt a whirling sensation of blood rushing into my head which made me stagger, but I steadied myself with the help of the wall. My hand which I leaned on the wall covered my bleeding nose, while I had my other hand on my waist. Without turning to my doctor, I asked through the mind link, "Where's the restroom?"

In spite of the house undergoing a thorough cleaning, he can still smell blood in the air which is the only proof that whatever has transpired is true and not some freakish dream of his.
