The Lycan's Bargain
The air is thick with acrid smoke, choking me with its bitter taste. My eyes burn, the stinging sensation making them water as I struggle to see through the haze. I cover my ears with my hands, curling into myself as ear-piercing screams ring out from every direction. The terrified, horror-filled cries send shivers down my spine, making my body tremble to the bone.
Though my sense of smell is weak, the coppery scent of blood still assaults my nose, making my stomach roil with nausea. The smell is overpowering, and I can almost taste the metallic tang on my tongue.
