She gestured to Mercy, who held a snake, its tail wrapped around her forearm.
“I think it likes me,” Mercy stroked the snake’s head and made kissy faces at it as it hissed.
“Don’t let it bite you,” Meguitte said immediately.
“It won’t hurt me,” Mercy replied.
“I’m not concerned about that,” Meguitte located a jar under the counter and tore off some plastic film to place overtop. “Ah, thank you,” she said to Connery when he handed her a couple of elastic bands. “I need it’s venom and don’t want it to waste it biting you,” she explained to Mercy sliding the jar across to her. “Do you know how to milk it?”
